Taylor HIcks had a great band and was not allowed to use them while under AI contract. And to me the band he is backed by is not nearly as good.

Do you happen to remember how long they are under contract? The number seems to change all the time.

It does seem to change a lot. I've tried looking & haven't found anything. Since that contract from the first season leaked out, they've kept it closely guarded. I think for the most part they still OWN you for a while.

It seems like it's best to come close but not actually win. Which is weird.

I'm not sure how long the winners are under the AI contract. But I hope Taylor will be able to go back to his old band, because they had a more soulful sound, they meshed well with Taylor.
Wolfstar do you know how long the contract runs? Is it a year?
