Big time fist throwing. Fans, players and more. Any thoughts ?
Anyone who punches an NBA player in the face is fine with me.
I just watched it. WTF was up with the cop threatening to pepper spray Artest when he was on the court? You got fans running on the court and throwing stuff, and they're going after Artest when he was doing nothing at that point?
If the NBA needs a new commish, you've got my vote!
Any Tarheels fans on board? I watched your boys lose tonight to Santa Clara.
What's interesting is that the guys on the team are absolutely KILLING the NBA this year. Lebron, Melo has just recently come out of a funk, Amare is DOMINATING, and even Boozer is playing really well.
I think the team was handicapped by a coach who refused to play the most gifted player on the team(Lebron) and in a Joe GIbbs-like fashion, refused to bench players that were performing poorly like Marbury and Jefferson through most of the tournament. He also was WAY too intent on getting guys to play "his way" instead of the way that would INSURE they play the best they could, which are NOT the same things.
But true, throwing guys together, especially all those 19-20 year old guys and then getting jobbed by the refs over and OVER(they were calling travelling on HEAD FAKES, for godssakes) and the refs in the NBA are actually SUPERIOR to the non-FIBA ones used in the olympics---all that will result in losses.
Hell, if the team just had Michael Redd for shooting, they probably would have won the Gold.
It's odd how we expect perfection in basketball, but Tiger and the Ryder Cup Americans with better players don't get razzed for stinking up the joint...
Basketball is a global game and Manu Ginobili is a top player in the game---the NBA game isn't worse, otherwise Ginobili and Nowitzki wouldn't be as good as they are---it's different and the rest of the world is no longer in awe and we sent inexperienced guys and a bad coach(for that setup)
I'm sitting here watching the replay of ESPN and they are blaming the Fans and not the players
Yes it was wrong for a fan to through a cup .. but this dude lost his cool and started swinging at the first person he saw
And then when he gets back on the court .. sucker punches the first guy he sees on the court
Maybe the cop thought Miller was simply another nut that left his paid seat.
It's a stunning piece of video to watch.
Double digit IQ's playing a childs game while being paid millions of dollars-DUH!!!! Anyone who pays to see these idiots in any sport are idiots themselves.
Thanks. Taking down the freaks at Burger King's ad agency would be my first priority...
Please explain?
And that statement is beyond idiotic.
He sucker punched Artest after Artest started beating the crap out of that younger guy
If I was there .. I would have hit Artest also in an attempt to help the younger guy ... and yes, I'm from Philly .. *L*
Like I said .. whoever throw the cup was wrong .. But Artest should have stayed out of the stands
the truth is idiotic??? How quaint!
As teams threw up more three pointers, scoring went down. You can see the trend slowly emerging from 84-now.
Although, this year the scoring and shooting has been stellar.
Naw, just rewatched another angle where they did a replay of it--it was the guy in the hat.
It will be very interesting to see how this plays out. The sad truth is that the FANS emulate the PLAYERS and they deserve each other.
Not just the players, anyone involved, the teams, their sponsors, the stadium, their agents, the coaches, you name it. There was a lady laying on the ground, possibly trampled or had a medical reaction to this scene of violent chaos.
What a mad house.
Keep your families away from this sh*t.
I believe George Will is quite the baseball fan.
I'm not sure what his IQ is, but I'm guessing it wouldn't fall under "idiot".
Perhaps you'd disagree.
