Yes, of course we should devote more resources to border patrol and protection. I'm all for it. Hear hear. We definitely should be doing more than we are. But a false sense of security is worse than no security at all.

Or float across the border?
I'm very interested in finding out how to "seal" the border when it comes to our maritime borders. There are many thousands of miles of 'border' that there is no practical way yet to monitor.

The Washington Times is not a pro-Kerry paper. If Kerry has a plan to protect the border, I don't know what it is. If these bastards murder our children, every soccer mom in the country will turn into a border hawk.

If, repeat if, this report is true, Bush deserves to lose this election.
But would Kerry deserve to win it?
No, and that is why guys like me are so angry. Bush is not even paying lip-service to his base on this issue. We want REAL border security, and we want it NOW!!!

You seem to be enjoying this a bit too much. How about we find out if this is fact or fiction before you bust a gut.

a group of 25 Chechen terrorists illegally entered the United States from Mexico...This is no bid deal. It's just an inconvenience we'll have to tolerate so the Mexicans can fulfill their God given right of living in the USA. I mean, we wouldn't want to actually seal the borders, now would we?. That might upset Vincente Fox. >sarcasm

"Exactly how can we know this but not be able to stop them?" ... Well there were 250 Illegals that crossed. Twenty five of them were ostracised by the Mexicans. The 25 couldn't be arrested, because that is profiling. The remaining 225 couldn't be sent back because that is discrimination.
Don't wory, you can change this and help the environment!

If Kerry has a plan to protect the border, I don't know what it is. Doesn't. All he has to do is say he has one in the last few weeks of the campaign.

And to think a couple of weeks ago, the Tom Ridge said there weren't any terrorists crossing the border from Mexico.

Sad but if something bad happens it will be what it finally took for the govt. to step up and do something. At this point I have to wonder if the administration would take the border seriously even after hundreds of dead school children pile up.
After 9-11 we knew these animals are capable of anything so why is the border still undermanned?
