Or float across the border?

I'm very interested in finding out how to "seal" the border when it comes to our maritime borders. There are many thousands of miles of 'border' that there is no practical way yet to monitor.

I heard about this nifty invention. It;s called sonar. It turns out that you can actually detect things floating on water. I know this is a super recent breakthrough and so you might not be up on it. But I figure that could probably be pretty useful in detecting floating smugglers.

That's not a good enough reason to keep some from making knee-jerk, illogical statements.

The US Coast Guard uses radar, sonar, boats and helicopters. Ask them about it.

for ex - just little old Maine, with it's coves and inlets, has over 3,000 miles of borde just on the water side! AND thousands of Islands ofall sizes.

I've asked that question around here.

The "close the border" types either ignore it, or make sarcastic remarks about al-Qaeda not having a navy.
