I heard about this nifty invention. It;s called sonar. It turns out that you can actually detect things floating on water. I know this is a super recent breakthrough and so you might not be up on it. But I figure that could probably be pretty useful in detecting floating smugglers.

In all my years in the USCG patrolling off the west coast of the US I've SIMPLY NEVER HEARD OF SONAR. DAMN. I Guess I'll just leave the rest of this discussion to you, since you are the expert.

I heard about this nifty invention. It;s called sonar.Yes it is a very interesting invention, the best of them is side scan sonar, it is great for spotting small objects like a single man. It has a 400 yard range. Lets see, 10,000 miles of sea coast divided by 400 yards equals about 1500 times more boats than exist in the world.
Guess we better start buying boats...
