These are comments from interviews with Ammon and Ryan Bundy at the occupied headquarters building of the Malheur National Wildlife Preserve in Oregon tonight: Ammon Bundy: "The facility has been the tool to do all the tyranny that has been placed upon the Hammonds....We're planning on staying here for years, absolutely...This is not a decision we've made at the last minute." Ryan Bundy: "The best possible outcome is that the ranchers that have been kicked out of the area, that they will come back and reclaim their land, and the wildlife refuge will be shut down forever and the federal...

Busy as they were, Hillary Clinton's aides found time to constantly compliment their boss' appearance, according to the latest batch of e-mails released by the State Department. When a photo of Clinton on her Blackberry started lighting up the Internet in April 2012, an aide forwarded it to Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills under the subject line, "Photo gone viral!" Mills passed it along to Clinton, who wanted to know why it was so popular. "You look cute," responded Mills. [Snip] And when a magazine featured Clinton on the cover, press aide Philippe Reines described the photo as "spectacular."...

You can turn this (exagerated): “ “Myra Belle “Sally†Miller — the 195â€8 Miss Arkansâ€as who said in 19â€92 that she had â€had an affair with Clinâ€ton in 1983. â€She claimed†that she†had been â€warned noâ€t to go public by a Demoâ€cratic†Party official: “They knew that I went joggâ€ing by myself and he couldn’t guarâ€antee what would happen to my prâ€etty little legs.†“ Into this: "Myra Belle "Sally" Miller -- the 1958 Miss Arkansas who said in 1992 that she had had an affair with Clinton in 1983. Hey all. Long-time lurker, first time poster. I was wondering if anyone could help me fill a request. I'm looking for back issues of Chronicles magazine, the "paleo-conservative" publication. However, I can't find any issues on amazon, ebay, or any other site. It's a fairly obscure magazine today, although it was much more popular in the 80s and 90s, from what I understand. I know you freepers are a resourceful bunch. I was hoping one of you might have some old issues you don't want anymore that I could have. I subscribed to National Review for a few years, but...

I want to first wish everyone a Merry Christmas (God Bless Us EVERYONE!). But really my question in this thread is: If you are a Cruz or Trump supporter (this is especially aimed at those who CONSTANTLY post irrelevant opinions as facts), and other snarky things that tear down EITHER Trump or Cruz.. What will YOU do if the other candidate that you support wins the nomination?? Will you vote for and enthusiastically support "the other guy" or will you take your ball and go home? Would you dare saddle us with a Hillary President? Just curious.. I'll answer that...

Donald Trump has an excuse for funding Hillary Clinton's election to the U.S. Senate from New York: That's how crony socialism is done. You pay off elected officials to become their crony, then you get special consideration for your real estate deals. Please FReepers, explain to me how this isn't precisely what we are trying to STOP in Washington? Do you know what I don't hear coming from Trump? "I'm going to put an end to such games." Rather, it seems like he is proud of how he has played the game, considers it is how he rose to the...

A 30.3 billion dollar budget for Pennsylvania's 2015-2016 budget year was suddenly passed by the Republican controlled State Senate last evening. The Republican-controlled House looked ready earlier yesterday to move forward with approval of Democrat Governor Tom Wolf's 30.8 billion dollar plan that increased spending six percent. But the House adjourned amidst pressure from citizens concerned about tax hikes and amid concern over 'ghost votes'. Two Democrats not present at the Capitol Tuesday were counted as YES votes in the crucial 100-99 vote to put Governor Wolf's budget on the table. This new 500 million dollar less budget had been...

With Christmas fast approaching and the public's attention in other places, the pieces appear to be falling in for Democrat Governor Tom Wolf to get the 30.8 billion dollar budget he wants along with 2.2 billion dollars in tax increases over the next 18 months. It looked like the big spending deal approved by the Republican controlled Senate 43-7 was being shot down in the House last Saturday when a pension reform bill was shot down in flames. But now a group of the mostly liberal Republicans in the House, mainly from the southeastern part of Pennsylvania, have stepped up....

Many of us are carrying a burden of rejection and betrayal by the party we thought stood for strong Constitutional conservative values, Life, and family strength. For those of us who have voted, sacrificed, and worked for the GOP over decades, the disappointment with the National Party is deep. I have come to believe now, with recent passage of the Omnibus Bill sell out, that there is utterly no hope left for us left with the National Republican Party; and by default they no longer can be distinguished as a separate and viable opposition to the Democrat Party. In effect...

We have three radio stations in our are that play Christmas songs all day and another three that play one about every third song. What is interestingly absent are the silly songs like: I want a hippopotamus for Christmas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Dec9Jb_Ac4 Dear Santa (a personal favorite, the kid from Yemen wanting a grenade launcher is great): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jtd3GR38wo Or you ain't gettin diddly squat cause you really messed up this year (not that I like it, but it annoys my grand daughter): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoINm3ZWlAE along with All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, All the chipmunk songs, Grandma got run...

I'm so Politically Correct that: I will commit national suicide, I will allow any and all who want to come here I will continue to bash any one that even appears to be a patriot. I will not accept that Islam is at war with us and has been at war with the world for 1400 years. I will accept murder of children as a form of birth control. I will not allow the exchange of ideas in what was our institutes of learning. I will accept the theory that disagreeing with anyone is a form of aggression. Etc, Etc....

"There are some victories that shame the winners" Marion Marechal Le Pen-12/13/2015 The two big Uniparties in France, the Socialists of the "Left" and the Republicans of the "Right" teamed up to deny the National Front victories in the French regional elections second round yesterday. The media elites teamed up with the political elites to paint the FN in the worst possible light and more voters were mobilized by the political machines to show up for the second round of voting yesterday. Marine Le Pen spoke of the National Front being "disenfranchised in the most indecent of ways by a...

We will soon know around 2pm Eastern (8pm in France) who the winners and losers were in the regional government elections. The National Front is hoping for a breakthrough in northern France led by Marine Le Pen and in the southeast of France led by Marion Marechal Le Pen. The media and political elites in France have pulled out the stops to attack the FN and put it in a negative light. Marine Le Pen has been subjected to hostile coverage as part of the media backlash against Donald Trump with attempts to trash Trump's immigration proposals and accuse Le...

What is a brokered convention? A candidate must secure a majority - not just a plurality - of votes prior to the convention. If a candidate has not secured a majority of votes prior to the convention, then there will be a first ballot at the convention. Delegates must vote to their pledged candidate on the first ballot. If after the first ballot, there is still no majority, then the convention becomes brokered. At this time, the delegates are released from their pledges and the deal making begins. The last GOP brokered convention was in 1948. The last Democratic brokered...

As one looks at the articles and comments found on Free Republic, you can see the complete and utter loathing, disgust, and outright hatred towards Muslims. It is viewed as a justified hatred, built on the actions Muslims have taken for decades against Americans and others. Notable attacks include the Beirut bombing of the Marine barracks, Beslan in Russia, the recent San Bernadino attack, and of course 9/11. However, I was challenged by a few friends recently as to how a professing Christian can have a deep-seated hatred for Muslims. They reminded me of Jesus' command to love one another....
