The abortion queen says she's in. Texas State Senator Wendy Davis has begun telling prominent Democrats in the state that she will be running for Governor next year. She will likely be up against Republican Greg Abbott, currently the Texas attorney general. Until a few months ago I had never heard of Davis. But, as Tom Dart wrote for The Guardian, "The state senator from Fort Worth became an overnight celebrity in June, as a result of her 11-hour filibuster against restrictive new abortion legislation." Being reelected in 2012, her term as Senator would ordinarily not be up until 2016,...

Please freep this poll. I'm sick of people running scared and selling us out over fear of the gov't shutting down.

Dear GOP, You've pulled the football away from us for the last time. From now on, my default preference in ANY election is no longer Republican. I will vote for select individuals whom I think I can trust, not who feed me a line of B.S. and then back away when safely ensconced in office. No yard signs. No contributions. No responding to polls. No personal campaigning among family and friends. No more holding my nose to vote for a moderate, RINO or 'the-lesser-of-two-evils'. I did that in an effort to avoid what I considered the worst-possible candidate for President...

Joe Carr has announced his candidacy for the Senate. He is running to defeat Lamar! Alexander in the Republican primary. Saturday is the 5th of 5 statewide Tea Party rallies. When the rallies were planned we had two candidates. One has dropped out. (Tennessee is a winner take all state, so this is a good thing.) I plan to play the role of an msm type with my questions. I am soliciting FReeper input. The questions can be “gotcha” types or legitimate ones (such as the rape exception that Aiken so badly handled.) I will post a report. Let me...

As luck would have it, I have a free day in Washington DC tomorrow. So my daughter and I will be attending the proceedings in the Senate that will be happening just after noon. Hopefully, I will get a chance to file a report later tomorrow afternoon. (Electronic devices are not allowed in the gallery, so it can't be a live report, unfortunately!)

Pat was on with Greta. Make Reid NOT fund the military over Obamacare. Then Dept State, Justice, etc. The public will soon understand the RATS are holding up funding Gov't over Obamacare.

I need a morph picture of Wendy Davis and Jack Kevorkian in order to make a bumper sticker that projects the image of Wendy Davis who is obsessed and fascinated with death. She's going to run for governor in Texas.

The Democrats keep referring to it as 'affordable'. They hide all the extra costs and the lies that were told so they could pass the Bill.

An Introduction to Free Republic First, Free Republic’s Web site is located here Free Republic. Free Republic presents itself as the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism. Let’s look around. I see some areas in the left and right borders. On the left are : Alliances Resource Links Media Links Legal Groups Political Links Government Links Military Links Now that’s impressive. Easy access to informative Web sites on a wide scale. Except for Alliances the groups are self-explanatory. I have been to Alamo-Girl.com and found an outstanding resource on an amazing array of topics. On the right are...

Money System and Financial Reforms The money and banking syste which was set up in 1913, along with the income tax and IRS which was set up to pay interest on debt while using debt as a primary basis for money, has reached the end of its useful lifespan. Glass-Steagal should be implemented immediately, the so-called "Super Priority" of derivative counterparties hould be abolished immediately, and a major effort should be made to devise a rational system of money for the United States. The Federal Reserve, the IRS, and the income tax should be abolished, and the power to...

Go ahead and get it over with. Flame away but I'm drawing up my own waiver and faxing it to every house and senate member, asking them to sign it and return it. I have been MAD as HELL and I am not taking it any more.

Here is a (hopefully) simple explanation of what happened today and what can be expected. The "filibuster" was Cruze's only chance to make a statement. The vote today was to start debate on the House CR bill. It passed (as was expected). In the next step of the process, Harry Reid will introduce an amendment that strips out the language de-funding Obamacare. This will happen during debate this week. There will be another vote on Friday or Saturday to accept the "Senate Version" of the CR (Continuing Resolution Budget Bill). We will have to filibuster that (a real filibuster) to...

IF...IF...IF Congress ends up voting to fund this monstrosity are there ways that we could practice the grand tradition of America..."Civil Disobedience"... and gum up the workings of the system? Monkey Wrenching? Sand in the gears? Water in the Oil? Sugar in the gas tank? Sabotage, undermine, countermine, counteract, subvert, weaken, disobey? Of course anything illegal would be strickly verboten. But, theoretically speaking, how could this be done?

Can we coordinate a nation wide standing ovation for Ted Cruz and supporters? Given a specific time, can we, wherever we happen to be, stop and stand and clap for ten-fifteen seconds... make a statement to the public at large.

The House Republicans passed a bill to keep the government running. I’m sick of hearing that it’s the Republicans who want to shut down the government. Let’s turn this around and pin the tail on the donkey, where it belongs. It is the Senate Democrats who are ready to shut down the government, just to preserve the ruinous Obama-care program which the public doesn’t want, and which business, unions, legislators and government employees are fighting to escape. The story of Gideon is all about God sending a man in to battle with what appeared to those around him to be a weak army. God continued to whittle his army down until such time as Gideon felt he was going into battle with an enemy FAR greater than him and his 300 men. But God had a perfect plan; that Gideon WOULD win and Our Lord would receive all the glory as there was no way Gideon would recieve glory based on strength of his army. Continue or start, to pray fervently for success! We can win this...
