It's the latest internet sensation--amateur footage of three red lights in a triangular formation hovering in the night sky above the town of Lafayette in Colorado. The video, shot last Monday, shows that the sky was clear and witnesses said they could not see anything connecting the lights. Leroy Vandervegt, a 50-year-old who has lived in Lafayette for 16 years, shot the video Sunday evening after his 17-year-old son saw the glowing orbs move from south west to south east along the horizon. 'I had no idea what it is,' he said. 'It wasn't a satellite, it wasn't an airplane

UFO sightings and an "alien abduction" are detailed in thousands of close-encounter documents released by the National Archives. Previously classified documents reveal the UFO phenomenon was discussed at the highest level of government worldwide. In December 1977, the Government used its influence to talk down a call by Grenada president Sir Eric Gairy for a UN agency to conduct research into alien sightings. About a year later, the House of Lords held a debate on the subject of UFOs, the files show. One of the documents describes a "War of the Worlds" incident in 1967 that was treated as a...

“I saw a ship and two creatures inside of this ship… And they were connected to me, tapped into my mind through some kind of mysterious wireless connection,” explains Sammy Hagar in his new book, Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock. The brief memoir, whose release coincides with "Alien Abduction Day", is not the first instance in which the former Van Halen singer has offered public disclosures of ET contact. A new report from a Vancouver audio lab suggests that Sammy Hagar was covertly communicating about alien abduction as early as 1991.

We've built a flying saucer, boasts Iran (even if it does look like it belongs in a 1950s B-movie) By Michael Theodoulou Last updated at 1:36 AM on 18th March 2011 It's not clear how far or how high it can fly – or even how big it is and what makes it take off. But an aircraft created by scientists in Iran is, they claim, the world’s first flying saucer. Called the Zohal - or Saturn in English - it said the unmanned spaceship is designed for 'aerial imaging' but added it can be used for 'various missions'. The...

Recently there has been an accelerated ‘wave’ of UFO hysteria sweeping the globe, and many supporters have contacted us asking for comments. At 2:25 a.m. on February 25, 1942, most of the greater Los Angeles region's three million population was awakened by loud air raid sirens that kept wailing for the next thirty-eight minutes. Powerful searchlights were aimed at a glowing unidentified aerial object over the Santa Monica Mountains that was shaped like a "lozenge." Moments later, America's 37th Coast Artillery Brigade fired off 1,430 anti-aircraft shells at the UFO.

"Tourist shoots glowing object hovering over Dome of the Rock." (video)

Video taken from Jerusalem this weekend showing a dancing, glowing ball hovering over the famous Dome of the Rock has some crying “UFO.” And so far, the images have no official explanation. The video shows the ball drop down from the sky, sitting atop the religious site for about 25 seconds, and then quickly shoot up to the heavens like a rocket. The event was captured by at least two separate cameras stationed at different places in the city:

Picture this: millions of followers gathering around a central shrine that looks like a giant UFO in elaborately choreographed Nuremberg-style rallies; missionary outposts in 31 countries from Germany to the Democratic Republic of the Congo; an evangelist vision that seeks to promote a "world morality restoration project"; and a V-Star program that encourages hundreds of thousands of children to improve "positive moral behavior." Although the Bangkok-based Dhammakaya movement dons saffron robes, not brown shirts, its flamboyant ceremonies have become increasingly bold displays of power for this cult-like Buddhist group that was founded in the 1970s, ironically, as a reform...

DAVIS, Calif.- A California psychologist says human beings may be ready to accept evidence of extra-terrestrial intelligence without widespread panic. Dr. Albert Harrison of the University of California's Davis campus said such a discovery "may be far less startling for generations that have been brought up with word processors, electronic calculators, avatars and cellphones as compared with earlier generations," The Scotsman reported Tuesday. Harrison said discovering an alien life-form or signal would be unlikely to cause "widespread psychological disintegration and collapse." Martin Dominik of Scotland's University of St. Andrews said Earth-like life on planets with similar environments may be a...

3 outer spaceships approaching Earth: Pravda Researchers have identified three giant objects, probably outer spaceships, approaching Earth, Russian daily Pravda reported Wednesday. The largest object is 240 kilometers in diameter, the daily quoted researchers of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) headquartered in California. Two others are smaller. At present, the objects are beyond the orbit of Pluto. Visible light detecting telescopes will be able to view the spaceships as soon as they reach Mars's orbit. SETI researchers expect the spaceships to pass by Earth in mid-December 2012. The researchers detected the spaceships by technology originally designed for researching the...

It’s no surprise that liberals and conservatives see our world in starkly different terms, but they also display contrasting views toward other worlds, generally disagreeing about the possibilities of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. These clashing opinions on extraterrestrials amount to more than a trivial split on an arcane topic; they connect, in fact, both logically and emotionally to big conflicts over worldview, culture, politics and America’s role in history. In Colorado, these conflicts erupted in a recent battle over a proposed Denver commission to investigate visitations from alien life forms. Initiative 300 won enough signatures to qualify for...

December 17, 2010 (by Lieven Dewitte) - The Israeli air force yesterday shot down what seems to have been a balloon that flew over the country's secretive Dimona nuclear reactor site. An army spokeswoman confirmed an object, "probably a balloon", was shot down after being detected in the area of the southern Dead Sea, which is near the reactor. There were reports the military was checking if the object was on a photographic mission of the installation. Some reports said the balloon had a motor. Israel's Negev Nuclear Research Centre, which is closed to international inspection and where Israel is...
