Donald Trump attended a fundraising dinner for January 6th defendants at his Bedminster, N.J., golf club on Tuesday night, ahead of the first Republican presidential debate and his own arrest in Atlanta. The dinner benefited the Patriot Freedom Project, the controversial nonprofit that supports those criminally charged in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, who they describe as 'political prisoners.' Trump also addressed a Patriot Freedom Project fundraiser at his New Jersey club in June.

Hawaii is holding a “Ukraine Independence Day Event” on Aug 26th at Magic island to raise money and awareness for the War in Ukraine. They are still digging up the charred remains of victims in Lahaina. There are over 1,000 people missing. Maybe they should put a pause on the Ukrainian fundraiser? At least until they find all the bodies of the missing children. But it is a committed leftist state – so it won’t matter. Wow! Are you kidding me?? Hawaii Plans to Hold a “Ukraine Independence Day Event” on Aug 26, at Magic island to Raise Money &...

Vice President Kamala Harris, who was tasked by the White House to address the "root cause" of mass migration, attended a fundraiser Friday in a wealthy Atlanta suburb, less than 24 hours after Title 42 expired. Harris gave remarks at the Democratic Party of Georgia's spring soirée in Buckhead, but did not mention immigration during her speech that appeared to last about 20 minutes. The event came as thousands of migrants flooded the border after the expiration of Title 42 – a COVID-19 emergency policy that allowed border agents to turn away migrants.

Ex-president Donald Trump spent an hour on Friday talking to his former adviser Steve Bannon during which he bashed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and claimed that Republican donors are abandoning the not-yet-declared 2024 presidential candidate and flocking to the Trump campaign. Trump has been doing long interviews with right-wing talk hosts to promote his new book. Last week Fox’s Mark Levin spent an hour with Trump on the subject, and on Friday it was Trump’s former adviser Bannon, who hosts a daily show on the Real America’s Voice network. Trump lit into DeSantis, as he does routinely to the governor...

ActBlue said there were 1.4 million unique donors, totaling $218 million with an average contribution of $36.75. The strong fundraising numbers for the platform, which also said the number...

A new report echoed by Maggie Haberman (the original is by the far-left Financial Times) is claiming that a major donor is dropping plans to back Ron DeSantis in 2024. A closer look reveals that there’s a lot more to the story, though. Haberman, who has long sourced reports directly from the Trump camp, pushed a quote from Thomas Peterffy in which he states that DeSantis has become too extreme on social issues. He cites “book banning” and abortion as the two reasons he’s supposedly backing away. A major donor finally goes on record with what has been a whisper:...

Former President Donald Trump has raised more than $34 million for his 2024 White House run since the start of the year, buoyed by a big bump in donations since the announcement of criminal charges against him in New York, according to his campaign. His total after the March 30 indictment approached what he took in over the previous three months. Trump’s latest fundraising report due to be filed Saturday with the Federal Election Commission will show he raised more than $18.8 million between his main campaign account and a joint fundraising account over the the first three months of...

On Friday, we learned that the Manhattan District Attorney’s office may indict Trump over alleged hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels. On Saturday morning, Trump acknowledged in a Truth Social post that there is a possibility that he could be arrested on bogus charges by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and called on his supporters to protest the blatant abuse of power. Some have predicted that, should Trump be arrested, it will backfire spectacularly on the Democrats and propel him back to the White House. “If this happens, Trump will be re-elected in a landslide victory,” Elon Musk tweeted in...

Former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani has been subpoenaed in connection with a probe into fundraising efforts following the 2020 election, according to multiple reports. The subpoena, which was sent in November and first reported by CNN, seeks documents from Giuliani about payments he received during the period when he was filing post-election lawsuits on behalf of the Trump campaign. The subpoena was signed by an attorney in the D.C. U.S. attorney office and predated the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) appointment of special counsel Jack Smith, though the special counsel’s office has likewise been investigating the inner workings of Save America...

Beto O’Rourke has raised $76.5 million in his bid for governor of Texas this year. Stacey Abrams has raised $85 million in her bid for governor of Georgia. When all is said and done, O’Rourke will probably top $80 million and Abrams may raise more than $90 million, so Democratic donors have given least $161 million, and may give about $170 million or so to two progressive Democrats who are running fairly longshot races against Republican incumbents in traditionally GOP-leaning southern states. But I will make one small – I mean, best-use-a-microscope small — defense of O’Rourke and Abrams. Just...

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman pulled in $22 million for his Senate bid over the last three months, doubling what he raised in the previous fundraising period. The haul — which came from 330,000 different donors, according to Fetterman’s campaign — marks the Pennsylvania Democratic Senate nominee’s best fundraising quarter to date and brings his total cash haul to more than $48 million. Fetterman’s campaign said that the $22 million total is the most raised in a single quarter by a Senate candidate in Pennsylvania. His campaign manager Brendan McPhillips also took a swipe at Fetterman’s Republican rival, celebrity physician...

The campaign manager for Georgia GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker told campaign staff on Tuesday that the fundraising has surged for the Republican since he denied anonymous allegations about an alleged abortion. Scott Paradise, Walker’s campaign manager, told campaign staff this morning that the Daily Beast story accusing Walker of encouraging a woman — who has remained anonymous — to abort their unborn baby in 2009 is a “setback,” but fundraising has surged since he denied the allegations, according to a Gabby Orr, a CNN reporter.

The January 6 select committee is no longer looking to compel the Republican National Committee (RNC) to hand over fundraising data. Counsel for the RNC and Salesforce, a software vendor, were notified this week, people familiar with the development told The Washington Post, that the panel is formally withdrawing their subpoena. The subpoena issued earlier this year sought records from Salesforce on the performance metrics and analytics related to email campaigns from Donald Trump, his reelection campaign and the RNC.

HARRISBURG — State Rep. Dan Frankel has become the latest target of antisemitic threats on the same social media platform used by the man who is charged with the murder of 11 Jews in 2018 at the Tree of Life synagogue in Squirrel Hill — the deadliest antisemitic attack in U.S. history. Mr. Frankel, D-Squirrel Hill, has become the subject of threats and derogatory comments on Gab. Gab is widely viewed as a platform used by white nationalists and other far-right extremists. The suspect in the 2018 Tree of Life attack used the site to post neo-Nazi propaganda and to...

OK, so I woke up this morning with a thought. It may not be worth anything. People here are understandable frustrated with the fundraising and lack of donations to the site. We also do not want to clutter the site with ads and become beholden to outside interests. We want to remain as independent and self-reliant as possible. Why not merchandize the FR name? Sell coffee cups, water bottles, t-shirts, etc with the FR URL and logo? I'm a woodturner and can make pens with logos/messages on them (though I *am* employed full time and would not have the time...

The GOP may be doing well in the polls, but when it comes to fundraising, Republican Senate candidates are lagging. Why is that important? Fundraising says a lot about a candidate’s organization and the enthusiasm and commitment of his supporters. It’s also a rough indicator of how a candidate is faring in the race. With less than four months to go before election day, several incumbent Democratic candidates are running rings around their Republican opponents on the fundraising circuit and threatening to bury some challengers under a mountain of cash. From Axios:It’s as if big GOP donors either don’t realize...
