I was at Dick's this morning to buy some 223 ammo and was paying in cash. Before the checkout clerk would ring me out I had to tap Yes or No on the pad for the question of "Are you a US citizen"? None of the other gun stores I frequent ask this question......will be my last ever Dick's Sporting Goods purchase.

The Obama administration clearly hoped that the Department of Justice’s Inspector General report on Operation Fast and Furious would be the last word on the scandal. which has been tied to hundreds of deaths in Mexico and the murders of two American law-enforcement officials. However, a new report from Univision to be broadcast tomorrow, previewed here by ABC News, may put the issue back on the front pages. One source called Univision’s findings the “holy grail” that Congressional investigators have been seeking:
  • The Untold Story Behind The "Fast and Furious" Scandal

Who are the human faces of the U.S. government's botched "Fast and Furious" gun-walking operation? Often lost amid the rancor in Washington are the stories of dozens of people killed by guns that flowed south as part of the undercover operation, and later slipped out of view from U.S. officials. Univision's Investigative Unit (Univision Investiga) has identified massacres committed using guns from the ATF operation, including the killing of 16 young people attending a party in a residential area of Ciudad Juárez in January of 2010.

Appearing on NRA News’ “The Daily News with Ginny Simone,” South Carolina Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy said hearings are planned concerning the Department of Justice’s use of taxpayer resources to smear its critics by colluding with left-wing advocacy organization Media Matters for America. Gowdy’s promise of hearings comes after The Daily Caller this week published a series of emails, obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, that show the Justice Department’s Office of Public Affairs director Tracy Schmaler and Media Matters staffers working together to attack reporters covering Justice Department scandals and other administration critics. “My guess is, this...

President Obama claimed that George W. Bush began for Operation Fast and Furious, in addition to contradicting his inspector general by claiming that he gave Congress “almost all” of the documents pertaining to the gun walking. “I think it’s important for us to understand that Fast and Furious was a field operation begun under the previous administration,” Obama said when asked if he will fire Attorney General Eric Holder. Operation Fast and Furious began in 2009. The president was conflating Fast and Furious with Operation Wide Receiver, a law enforcement tactic that began in 2006 and ended in 2007 which...

By Mr. Curmudgeon:President Obama may have invoked executive privilege to blunt Congressional efforts to learn the truth regarding his administration's Operation Fast and Furious, which put weapons in the hands of Mexican drug cartels, but it didn't stop authorities south of the border from apprehending a killer.Jesus Leonel Sanchez is one of five men accused in the shooting death of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in the bleak Arizona desert on a cold December night in 2010. Two weapons recovered at the murder scene were later traced to the Justice Department's deadly gunrunning operation.Robert Heyer, Terry's cousin and the...

Congressman Darrell Issa and the House Oversight Committee filed the civil lawsuit yesterday against Attorney General Eric Holder in the Fast and Furious case. To be clear, there are no charges that Holder had anything to do with Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry's death, or the walking of guns across the U.S. border into Mexico. The charges are simply that Holder has ignored subpoenas and withheld Fast and Furious documents from Congress, and thus, is in Contempt of Congress. The documents are the starting point to actual prosecutions of criminal and civil liability in one of the worst acts of...

Using the logic of the Obama campaign accusing Romney of the death by cancer of Joe Soptic’s wife, we can with much greater certainty say that Obama killed Brian Terry. Joe Soptic’s wife died of cancer seven years after Romney left Bain Capital, five years after his plant closed, four years after his wife lost her health insurance because she left the job that gave her health insurance, and also five years after he was offered a buy-out. So if this makes Romney responsible for Soptic’s wife’s death, there is a much more direct line to Obama and the death...

President Obama’s administration needs to work on its communication. Today, Jay Carney said that the Obama Administration’s focus is “to keep criminals and others who should not have those guns, from being able to obtain them.” Memos must not get sent to the right people, or maybe they are sent but are just overlooked It was December 2010 when conservative bloggers were trying to get national recognition of the Fast and Furious Scandal. With the murder of ATF Agent Brian Terry came a justifiable outrage for not only bungling a dangerous case, but also for not disclosing any of the...
  • Witness: Someone Let Gunman Inside Colorado Movie Theater

A man who was at the Colorado movie theater where a dozen people were killed this morning, says he saw the gunman. He says he thinks someone deliberately let the gunman inside once the movie started. Here's what he told TV station KCNC this morning live on their newscast. "As I was sitting down to get my seat, I noticed that a person came up to the front row, the front right, sat down, and as credits were going, it looked like he got a phone call. He went out toward the emergency exit doorway, which I thought was unusual...

An Arapahoe County Court judge has granted a request to seal the case against James Holmes, the 24-year-old shooter who killed 12 and wounded 50 during a screening last night of "The Dark Knight Rises." The motion, filed in Arapahoe County court, asks for the records in the case to be sealed, including search warrants, affidavits, orders and the "case file." ... disclosure of the court records would be "contrary to public interest" and "could jeopardize the ongoing investigation."

There has been an up-tic in Fast & Furious chatter - Mitt mentioned it on Fox & Friends this morning. Look for the Complaint to be filed maybe Thursday. Senator Grassley has asked whether U.S. Attorney Ronald C. Machen Jr. exercised independence when he declined to pursue criminal contempt without a “particularized description” of the withheld documents. Senator Grassley has also said that without this DOJ description, Mr. Machen “cannot reasonably make an intelligent judgment as to the validity of any privilege claim and his duty to present the citation to a grand jury." This is a set up for...

To Whom it may concern, This was the only email address I could find on your website, and given the way Obama's attack ads are starting, and his long history of character assassination against his political opponents, I felt I needed to take this idea to you, since I don't believe there's any way that Mr. Romney would allow his own campaign to run these sort of ads. Despite voting to hold Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. in contempt of Congress, there’s little House Republicans can do in the short term to compel him to turn over documents — unless it wanted to revisit a long-dormant power and arrest him. The thought is shocking, and conjures up a Hollywood-ready standoff scene between House police and the FBI agents who protect the attorney general. It’s a dramatic and unlikely possibility not least because Congress doesn’t even have a jail any longer. But in theory it could happen. Republicans say it’s not even under consideration, with House Speaker John...
