Our Free Republic was born out of Patriotism and this site found itself combating the corruption of the Clintons.
We have come full circle and it very well may be another Clinton that puts our ability to be American Patriots at risk.
Will the "Vast Right wing Conspiracy" narrative move further from the shadows of public discourse to the common knowledge of a now discredited group of radicals that must be shut down?
Those Constitutionalist's that throw a monkey wrench into the Progressive's idea of what is best for them and our Country.
The line in the sand has been drawn.
We, as a Country, are about to vote for either Liberty or Slavery.
We now have a populace that is soo retarded and willfully ignorant and controlled by the MSM/Government that they would rather chose being controlled by the Government than their own individual Liberty.
Understand.
These people are very happy to shut down opposing views. It's all over our College's, Military, Public Institutions and private companies both large and small.
So, FreeRepublic survives as we always have. In the shadows on this site until it is shutdown for the "Greater Good".
We can express all the Patriotism and the machinations of what we will do when push comes to shove. We can't shoot an idea and they know this. We don't protest and if we did, they successfully paint us as extremist.
IMHO, This FBI proclamation that Hillary broke the law but is not worthy of prosecution has given them a green light to continue their efforts to unilaterally destroy their opposition once and for all.
We have entered the next phase.
The Phase in which everybody knows "Conservatives" are evil.
The Phase in which the Progressives have a greater hand in their effort shut down any and all opposing views.
I'm sorry to be so defeatist, but when you do the math?

To put a finer point on it. It’s a rigged game for sure.
That's the problem, you see. The notion that only one political side is corrupt, while the other is nice and white. I think true conservatives could not possibly side with major political parties (think "Islam is a religion of peace"). But in order to win elections, people must. Hence the dilemma, the cognitive dissonance, which has pretty much destroyed conservatism in America.

Another? It's the same one. This election is for Bill Clinton's 3rd term in office, a back door he spoke about, as he spoke about changing the 26th to allow only two consecutive terms. Will Hillary be president? No, it will be Bill Clinton who does everything but sitting in the chair during bill signing ceremonies.
So indeed, it is a full circle, only this time, we can act to prevent Bill Clinton from being reelected again.
In the beginning of Free Republic, we believed in the Rule of Law.
FBPraetorian Director Comey and his elite administration masters have cured us of that antiquated notion.
It has failed because the people didn’t care, didn’t keep informed, didn’t hold the politicians accountable.
Power-seekers always live their entire lives around the acquisition of power. They never do anything that doesn’t help them gain more power. They don’t care about the peoples’ rights.
hillary and bammy are power-seekers.
They've been told that for a long time and half of them believe it. Just look at the Koch brothers who are not even conservative but libertarian.
But I think your prediction is a little off. The media will simply continue to ignore conservatives. They have their house "conservatives" like George Will who they will trot out every time it is convenient (e.g. bash Trump) but keep in the closet the rest of the time. They don't need to go after conservatives, just neuter them in the political arena.
When we see the writing on the wall and just continue to ignore how it conditions more and more people to violently oppose our ability to be free thinkers, this is what we get.
