The heroin epidemic is the result of the FedGov cracking down on prescription opioids, which are tightly controlled. There's unlikely any FedGov solution, but Trump doesn't even know what the problem is.

I have plenty of questions about Trump, but the fact is that his is a doer obliged to no one.
If I had to bet my last dollar, I’d say he will do it if elected. Don’t you think if you were elected, you would be able to do such things by simply having heads roll (figuratively) if enforcement folks don’t do their job? Trump will owe no one anything, so folks will either do their job or lose their job. And the point will be made quickly. He is not going to want to look like a fraud. Just not who he seems to be. That much I think I know.
But really, in N.H. ! Heroin addiction and deaths? That's horrible and absurd!
And morons want to make these things "legal" and doubt that more people would use ? Good grief!

Nonsense ...It’s because they don’t want to crack down ... it might be impossible to stop, but it can be greatly reduced ..starting with the wall and tight border control ..Trump knows exactly what the problem is ...
If we outlawed abortion, there would still be an incentive for abortions and they would still occur. should we abandon that fight as well then? Hell, there’s a financial incentive for theft. let’s just make that legal too since outlawing theft clearly hasn’t prevented theft.
I’d like to see some research on the link, if any, between a lack of religion and drug abuse.
As to stopping it, Imperial China stopped the opium trade in the late 19th century. It just takes the governmental will to act
The thing is, I remember when doing drugs was NOT "cool" at all and heavily frowned upon. Only the fringe of the fringe indulged in it.
But as I stated in an earlier post, I just do NOT understand WHY anyone would even try drugs. Nor do I understand why anyone would drink to get drunk, either.
What I do find shocking, is that heroin use is such a BIG problem in N.H. !
If we leave back door unlocked at night, it is open invitation for drug addicts to burglarize our home.
Israel built a real wall on it’s border and terrorist sneaking in have been reduced drastically. School teachers in Israel are allowed to carry guns. And it works! Mass Shootings in schools have disappeared!
But our stupid elite liberals in government do not care about us. They live in their gated community, and award welfare and food stamps to people for their votes.

He’s no dummy and most likely develop a solution to mitigate the problem. Along with the wall, he’ll allow the Border Patrol, ICE, and DEA do their jobs. He’s mentioned this dozens of times.
