Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

It’s not a dodge and not a bait thread. JR stated his opinions and goals to clarify things. That doesn’t make it a bait thread.

Just because some posters have posted the bug zapper, doesn’t mean that this thread is a bait thread. The people posting the bug zappers are not the guy who posted the thread.

I am sorry Kevmo. My comment which seemed strange to you should have been directed to someone else regarding an unrelated issue. Trying to get thru this thread I guess is frying my brain:)

In addition to the Moral Absolutes ping list, I inherited the Homosexual Agenda ping list from scripter. I have read more about what homosexuals want, what they do, their agenda, than most people would ever imagine. The lie that “they just want to live in peace and not bother me” won’t fly with me.

If you think that the radical “gay” agenda is not trying to (with so far great success) ruin the entire country (and other countries) via hate crimes laws, homosexual foster parents and adoptions, trying to get homosexuals in positions of leadership in the Boy Scouts, homosexual Big Brothers and Big Sisters, homosexual priests taking over seminaries, “Gay” Pride parades and other displays, domestic partnerships/civil unions/”gay” marriage, homosexual clubs and other indoctrination in schools, laws mandating forced so-called sensitivity training, and so on and so on, one of two things applies.

You either are unbelievably ignorant, or you think the above (very partial) list of homosexual “rights” is just fine.

Agreed. And ultimately, not just for those who adhere to traditional values.

In the end, the ensuing chaos and subsequent clampdown would make the lives of even the promoters of liberal/leftist policies miserable.

You may believe Howlin, however I’ll believe my eyes.

Go over their and ask the wackoes about the “Deliverance Hillbilly wing of the republican party”. There is no question of who exactly this refers to.

>>>>Typical of the attitude of other sites. What I fail to understand is why, if they find the place so offensive, do they continue to post here if not for the sole purpose of causing trouble?

You've got that right.

Free Republic gives broad public exposure to the opinions of its posters. Many of these posters are just troublemakers and disruptors ---- malcontents, misfits and militants. They return to FR in an effort to undermine the conservative goals of this forum and to further the candidacy of the liberal, Rudy Giuliani. The newest anti-Freeper website really is nothing more then an echo chamber for its members. A glorified chat room. LOL

All I'm looking for is the candidate who will use the coercive power of the state neither to advocate, nor to castigate, unpopular lifestyles.

None found to date in either major party.

bWhat is nuts, the fact that within the jurisdiction of the states the Constitution allows them to define murder as they see fit....

Life a right, which must be protected in these united states. What are we united for? To ensure justice and the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.

Therefore, states cannot sanction the destruction of life without first seceding from the union.

I'm sure your pro-life heart can appreciate this truth.

You do recognize that homosexual activists (to pick one particular leftist agenda, there are others although they are related) are fighting very aggressively to promote their agenda?

You do realize that there is no such thing as neutrality? That being neutral and doing nothing has led to the ascendency of the entire “gay” rights movement?

At this point, with so much of the homosexual agenda forced upon the public via judicial activism, it will take a lot of effort just to get to an even field.

People, we need to get over the FR site and start posting articles and commenting. We have to help WA grow. I know it's hard to find interesting articles because the MSM is treating all Republican candidates with a big yawn, but we need things to discuss besides FR which is getting old quickly.

Just in fairness, not in support of WA ... this post is NOT advocating posting stuff on FR. I thought so at first reading ... but it is actually encouraging their posters to "get over" FR and stop talking about it.

"Rudy may be a liberal, but he'll keep us safe from terrorists!" To what end? If he joins with fellow social liberals Reid and Pelosi to advance a social liberal agenda he will have saved America's families from the terrorists' knives only to sacrifice them on the altar of home-grown liberalism.'

Exactly, and in many respects that's already true. Take a walk through some of the worst urban neighborhoods in the country, as I have if you don't believe me. Liberalism has been terribly destructive, and for decades now. And I don't need convincing. I've seen it with my own eyes and long ago.

I think that by FAR the biggest threat to family in America is heterosexual promiscuity and easy divorce - anyone (and I don’t say this is you - I do not know your views on the issue) who turns a blind eye to those problems while focusing on the “gay agenda” is disingenous at best.
