Sometimes you just have to tell people to go to Hell.
The headline is deceptive. The flag is not really displayed inside her home. The flag is facing outside the front window. I support why this woman wants to honor her son, but if she lives in an HOA, that’s the sort of busybody behavior you will get. The lady has the option of filing for an expemption, but she must write and request one. She doesn’t feel she should have to do this. Hopefully, a helpful neighbor will do this for her. But never forget, that is how HOA’s notoriously are. They have the pow-wahh!

HOA’s are just another layer of the slippery slope to the total destruction of private property rights.
It is destroying the Republic for “democracy”——mob rule which destroys individualism. All HOAs should be unconstitutional because they deny “equal” for all the city residents.....and is an elitist, classist, collectivist concept.
There should be no “collectives” which can stomp Individual Natural Rights of private property ownership (UNALIENABLE—can’t SIGN THEM AWAY!!!!) which isn’t applied EQUALLY to all people in the city.
This type of nannyism is dangerous-—slippery slope to conditioning into vice (instead of Christian Virtue)——complaining always about neighbors so you can “sue” them and “control” them, and a parasitic lawyer gets easy money forced from ALL the HOA homeowners for trying to destroy private property rights. Busybodies ethics—everyone-—SINFUL/EVIL.
It is promotion of EVIL and all Just Laws HAVE to promote VIRTUE——not this petty neighbor hate and discord.

Seriously anyone who buys a house with HOA covenants is a fool
All they have to do is call a meeting and vote on it. HOA agreements are not written in blood.
But the HOA can grant waivers, change the rules etc....but everyone has to agree to it.
Sounds to me that the HOA members need a motivational education.This shiit would end.

This is a “Blue Star Mother” flag, and these HOA imbeciles are asking to get seven bells kicked out of them. BSM is a congressionally chartered organization under Title 36 of the United States Code.

That’s right NEVER, and I’m sure it’s not limited to retired Gov’t goons because those type people are a dime a dozen.
I’ve told this story here before, but it bears repeating.
I read an article about a Jewish man who survived all of WWII inside Germany. He was very elderly and a respected professor, so for those reasons he was never sent to a concentration camp, but obviously he had many difficult years.
The one thing that struck me was when the anti-Jewish stuff was really starting up the people who gave him the hardest time weren’t the soliders, who were young men and seemed almost embarrassed by the things they were doing, but the little twerps like librarians and stuff, people who had known this guy for years. They just loved getting to lord it over him for being a Jew.
That’s how a lot of people are, they may be law abiding, etc. but in their hearts and souls they just s*ck. Never give them any more power over you than is absolutely necessary.
Actually, we should practice this until it is easy and natural. If you give an inch to these people, you are in for a yard. My neighbor wants me to fly a USA flag. I fly "The Spirit" flag ( red with with a palmetto palm and crescent...actually the first Confederate flag). This woman has a life size cardboard cutout of Obama in her front room). She told me flying my flag should be illegal...I just smiled and said, "I think busybody neighbors like you should be illegal." End of discussion. She once said "nobody should have a gun" I responded with "Everybody should be required to have a gun." End of discussion. We have to come back at these people with the same stupid logic...discussion is a waste if time with them.
The flag is an active military mom’s flag. When will homeowner’s sue the associations up to the SCOTUS for freedom of speech? Any homes have little home security tags?
I have the same kind of banner in my office window and I dare, I double dare, anyone to try to take it down or even suggest as much.
I will hunt them down, rip off their arms, beat them to death with them then rip off their head and sh-t down their neck. Then I’ll get mad.
My wife took it down to clean the window and forgot to put it back up. It was not a nice discussion that ensued.
