Some folks go through life flinging personal insults through gross generalities because they are cowards and can hide behind screen names. They are the first, however, to hire an attorney to argue situational ethics on their behalf if they ever get called on their filthy mouths. They also tend to use God as a weapon to support their hypocrisy and abusiveness.

I look foreward to you meeting God.

Complex, but not surprisingly we are talking about the law.

Strong words to direct to a fellow freeper. You know nothing about this person yet call them fundamentally dishonorable. Shame.

Shut up and mind your own business, and learn some honour yourself. I justified each word of my post, but I'm not responsible for your lack of reading comprehension skills.

It is probably unreasonable for us to expect Christian morality from non-Christians.

From his home page: “The wise student hears of the Tao and practises it diligently.”

I'm not sure if that is intended as a death threat, or not.

Good level of self awareness there. As I noted, if it works for you, probably no reason for you to change now.

Well let's see, you spoke of me meeting God, and that, of course, came from your Christian love for my soul.

But when I speak of you meeting God, it must be a death threat.

Situational ethics, isn't that what you called it?

I neither recall that nor see it in a search of the comments. Try again, if you wish.

In your post #75, didn't you say: "If you aren’t afraid of an eternal accounting..."?

What, to you, is "eternal"? And how hard is it to search your few posts to me?

And you talk about "honor." :snort:

I was exactly right about you. You're blind to your own crudity. People like you always are.

I didn’t mention God in my post to you because our theologies are so far apart, we wouldn’t be talking about the same thing. Same with ‘eternal’ - my definition may not be at all relevant to a person with an Eastern world view.

If you don’t believe in any sort of cosmic accountability, then the comment wouldn’t have be relevant to you, anyway.

As far as crude, you might want to consult a dictionary. You apparently don’t know the definition of that word. Or you could go try to pick on someone else - perhaps you’ll find an easier target next time.

LOL, reach much? You DID mention God, by referring to the "eternal."

Ah, what's the point. I'm arguing with someone who wants HOAs to have unquestionable power.

And now you want to talk about God? LOL, I think not. You can't even admit what you just SAID. You're a waste of my time.

That is not a flag. It is a banner for mothers with loved ones serving in the military. I bought one for my mom when I was in Iraq. The blue star represents the loved one is serving. If the loved one is killed the star gets changed to gold. This is IN her house and they have no right to tell her to take it down.
Maybe at her next Home Owner's Association meeting she can invite someone from the local VFW or American Legion to give a lecture to the imbeciles on the board on what the various Blue and Gold Star Mothers flags mean. I'll bet none of those idiots have a clue.

If someone moves into a home that has a Homeowners Association there are rules.

Obey the rules-—or leave.

The flag/pennant is inside but faces outside so there are probably rules on what can be shown outside.

She made a choice when she moved there.

And one hundred percent of the people who would actually think something that ridiculous haven’t been in many HOA’s

I have had exactly this sort of experience, and it was also over The National Ensign.

Exactly. But, in this case what are the rules of this particular HOA. We don't know, but plenty of folks are willing to jump in with pronouncements that assume that they know. The words of the HOA covenants are very important and the demands of the HOA leadership are bound by those covenants as are the signatories. The story doesn't tell us the specific requirement in dispute and without that information, all that we have is speculation.

I would like to know, for example, what exactly is prohibited. Any decoration in the window visible from the street? Or, it the restriction against all flags either outside or inside visible from the street (many restrictions are specifically about flags) Since this is not a flag, the words matter. Just because the HOA says something is not allowed, that doesn't necessarily mean that it is. Homeowners are not subject to the arbitrary whims of the HOA board, they are bound to the agreement.
