The headline is deceptive. The flag is not really displayed inside her home. The flag is facing outside the front window. I support why this woman wants to honor her son, but if she lives in an HOA, that’s the sort of busybody behavior you will get. The lady has the option of filing for an expemption, but she must write and request one. She doesn’t feel she should have to do this. Hopefully, a helpful neighbor will do this for her. But never forget, that is how HOA’s notoriously are. They have the pow-wahh!

I think your take on where the flag is located is 'deceptive'. The flag is inside the window. It does not matter which way it is facing.
