BREAKING NEWS: Internet sleuths say the first suspect in the still very preliminary investigation into the Supreme Court Leak is Justice Sonia Sotomayor's clerk: Amit Jain. A photo with additional content is available on Facebook, and perhaps elsewhere, but I don't know how to post it here.
Try “googling” his name, and searching for photos and additional articles on him.
Jain’s name has been floated since day one.
I think he is one of two main suspects.
Old news.
Whoever it is will be lionized by the Left.
The guy likes to be in the news cycles - won’t be the first time.
I think, we've seen over the years the harm of spreading bs about someone around.
The other one is Deutsch(?), a female clerk for Breyer whose husband was an associate of the Politico journalist and he worked there himself. I think they deleted a picture of his wedding party showing the connection.
Whoever it is should be disbarred at the very min.
The draft goes way back to Feb. Was a more current opinion issued that we don't know about? Has the opinion been finalized...and they're keeping it from us...cuz they must.
If the court has ruled on paper...it should be issued immediately.
He was given the document and ordered to leak it by the Justice
Dude..
I hate to rain on your parade, but if the wise latina has to recuse, or breyer has to recuse, then it would be 5-3.
Thanks for posting.
I'll also wager that he/she/it will never be identified...because court members don't see this as an event that's worthy of note.
If it is him I would want him sentenced to the following:
1. Banned from clerking/working in or holding any government associated legal / judicial office - for life.
2. Six years of REAL public service. Specifically, having to work as a public defender in a poor urban area - excluding handing immigration or asylum cases.
3. Banned from writing a book about anything he was involved in at the SC - including the leak.
