When it comes to increasing partisanship in the United States, it seems no issue is immune. And that includes evolution.
A new Pew Research Center poll shows a widening political gap over theories about how humans came to be, with Republicans growing increasingly skeptical about the idea that humans evolved over time.

Oh this is important.
Perhaps republicans believe that evolution implies an improvement.
There was a time when skepticism of theories was valued. As a believer in the very bare-bones concepts of evolution (not so convinced on a lot of the inferences), I’m not sure why this matters.
Surely we should be more concerned about the lack of basic modern historical knowledge among all Americans. I want a poll done on basic American history questions and see how people fare.
I’m beginning to believe in DEvolution. That’s how liberals came about. They devolved from normal human beings. Homp Sapiens to Homo Freelunch.
The existence of a story like this can have only ONE purpose, to attempt to convince the Democrats now bolting the party in droves that they sure as heck don’t want to join those darned “backward” Republicans.
I have no doubt that biological organisms “adapt” to a changing, often hostile, environment but there’s no way I’m buying this a result of random mutation. All the useful genetic information which ever has or ever will exist has been there from the beginning.

Coincidence is not causality but reading those comments from the site, you'd think that folks never heard that...
It's the very first tenet of science. At least, that's what we were taught years ago.
Ha let’s remember it is soon to be an election year and the goal is to make conservatives ( i.e . church going kooks) look like the neanderthals we are supposed to have evolved from .
Another poll designed to hurt Reps.
I haven’t thought about evolution per se, for a couple of years. I will when I chose to sit and theorize for it’s own sake. Meanwhile, I am very concerned about a lot of people especially young people unable to find a job. You don’t want kids to get over 21 years of age without ever having worked for anybody outside the family. That is what matters to me now, not how many angels on how many heads of pins.
look! a squirrel!
ooooohhh shiny
American History means nothing without a philosophical basis for Natural Law.
Without it, our history is nothing but a string of events.
Who are the dopes that keep asking this question???
1. A hit poll designed to tell Dims and Indy's, no matter how bad we screw up the country don't defect and join their club.
2. The string of junk science crises the left has manufactured since WWII is undermining faith in all science, the latest and greatest, AGW, being the mother of them all.
We have some of the most hard hitting articles on the creation-evolution debate. See that section at www.faithfacts.org. We look at the science, the philosophy, and the theology.
Exactly. And you can guarantee that next year every candidate with an (R) after their name will be asked to articulate their opinion on this issue.
