Modern humans interbred with Denisovans twice in history

Modern humans co-existed and interbred not only with Neanderthals, but also with another species of archaic humans, the mysterious Denisovans.

I just got back my Ancestor DNA results, and most of my DNA comes from Western Europe.

This may explain why I feel better with a Paleo diet combined with a Med Diet. Also, I may have inherited my seasonal allegies and passed on to the generations below me from the dang Denisovans.

Most non-Africans possess at least a little bit Neanderthal DNA. But a new map of archaic ancestry--published March 28 in Current Biology--suggests that many bloodlines around the world, particularly of South Asian descent, may actually be a bit more Denisovan, a mysterious population of hominids that lived around the same time as the Neanderthals. The analysis also proposes that modern humans interbred with Denisovans about 100 generations after their trysts with Neanderthals.

The Harvard Medical School/UCLA research team that created the map also used comparative genomics to make predictions about where Denisovan and Neanderthal genes may be impacting modern human biology. While there is still much to uncover, Denisovan genes can potentially be linked to a more subtle sense of smell in Papua New Guineans and high-altitude adaptions in Tibetans. Meanwhile, Neanderthal genes found in people around the world most likely contribute to tougher skin and hair.

They are, if this is true, likely demon spawn, angel spawn, or the spawn of humans, who became isolated and through interbreeding and the conditions they were living in, specialized into a subspecies, not unlike wolves and foxes have. They then “stumbled” upon each other and cross bred, apparently still being viable with each other.

Tigers and lions can interbreed producing a Tiglion or a Liger. Don’t know if they are always sterile like mules. At any rate just be glad there are no chimpanzees running around in the Middle East.

That they could pro-create says they were just different breeds of the same species. Collies instead of coon hounds
