Astronomy Picture of the Day -- Apollo 17 at Shorty Crater

Explanation: On the Moon, it is easy to remember where you parked. In December of 1972, Apollo 17 astronauts Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt spent about 75 hours on the Moon in the Taurus-Littrow valley, while colleague Ronald Evans orbited overhead. This sharp image was taken by Cernan as he and Schmitt roamed the valley floor. The image shows Schmitt on the left with the lunar rover at the edge of Shorty Crater, near the spot where geologist Schmitt discovered orange lunar soil. The Apollo 17 crew returned with 110 kilograms of rock and soil samples, more than was returned from any of the other lunar landing sites. Now forty three years later, Cernan and Schmitt are still the last to walk on the Moon.

NASA dropped off a ‘65 Volkswagen with a full tank of Gas in Arabia in the hopes a DuneBuggy could happen, in it’s ‘Reach Out’ Effort.

It’s still there, though it appears it’s been screwed up and down allot.

The tracks of the LRRV, and the boulder sampled by Global Warming "Denier" (and only full-time scientist yet to visit the Moon, future Republican Senator Jack Schmitt is seen in the 1972 picture taken by Gene Cernan.

Gentlemen,

Anyway, I have compiled my analysis of some of the evidence NASA
presented in support of their claim that they landed on the Moon in my

I even asked some people of NASA what they think of it. Their response
was condescending but hilarious.
Anyway, you and your readers might be interested in it.
