In Mr. Rather's not-so-apologetic "apology" tonight, he made the claim that Bill Burkett was in the "Texas Air Guard". It is my understanding that Burkett is a former lieutenant colonel in the Texas Army National Guard. Why does Mr. Rather continue to try to dupe his listeners? An uninformed person watching Mr. Rather may jump to the conclusion that Mr. Burkett might actually have some familiarity with the Texas Air National Guard, and perhaps give some credence to Burkett's phony, shilly-shallying arguments.
