Chicago — The science-fiction-like prospect of planting chips inside the human body took on a decidedly real flavor last week, in the wake of an admission by the Mexican Attorney General that he and 160 government officials have been "chipped." Applied Digital Solutions Inc., maker of the so-called VeriChips that were used, acknowledged that its distributor sold the chips to the Mexican government late last year.
