[Catholic Caucus] The Mystical Body of Christ and the Great ResetWould we be facing the threat of a disastrous “Global Reset” now if the Catholic Church had not been undermined from within for the past several decades? Our answer depends, in large part, on whether we believe the Catholic Church is truly what it has always claimed to be. If it is merely a human institution with illusions of supernatural significance (as many of its hierarchy appear to believe), then its strength or weakness has little bearing on the momentous world events we now see. However, if the Catholic Church...

Vatican Admits Breaking Away From “What The Church Once Did”The Vatican’s Handbook on Ecumenism (December 4) admits breaking with Catholic tradition.Number 17 claims that Catholics “not only can but indeed must” seek out opportunities to pray with other Christians, yet they should understand that some Christian communities don't practise joint prayer, ”as was once the case for the Catholic Church.” The handbook recommends praying together the psalms and scriptural canticles. It is easy to show that the demands contained in the handbook oppose Catholic doctrine:• Synod of Laodicea (363): “No one shall pray in common with heretics and schismatics.”• Council of...

Italian historian: McCarrick scandal is linked to ‘new morality’ emerging from Vatican IIIn the wake of the Second Vatican Council, we have a 'new morality' and the loss of the Church's determination to condemn evil and fight sin.November 30, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – Professor Roberto de Mattei, a prominent Italian historian and traditional Catholic, has commented on the Theodore McCarrick scandal as it has been further revealed by the recently published McCarrick Report. In a statement written for LifeSiteNews, he explains the link between this decades-long history of the Church’s ignoring warning signs about McCarrick’s immoral personal life and the weakening...

[Catholic Caucus] Francis: The Zairean Rite Is "Promising Model" For Amazon LiturgyThe Libreria Editrice Vaticana published “Papa Francesco e il «Messale Romano per le Diocesi dello Zaire». Un rito promettente per altre culture” (“Pope Francis and the ‘Roman Missal for the Dioceses of Zaire.’ A Promising Rite for Other Cultures”).Its preface is by Francis. He shows a highly emotional and diffuse understanding of the liturgy, calling it “something that touches the soul, the thought, the sensitivity, the cultural world of people.”For Francis “the liturgy must touch the hearts” and “be evocative,” a postulate, contrasting with his own dry celebrations. The Zairean...

[Catholic Caucus] Archbishop Gullickson: “Stay Tuned for More Thoughts”Picture: Thomas Gullickson © FSSP, #newsQbzppapqas Swiss Nuncio Thomas Gullickson reiterated on his blog (November 26) his conviction that “the only future for the Church is in its recovery of integral Catholic Worship according to the Vetus Ordo.”For him it is urgent to step back from the Novus Ordo, “especially when it comes to Eucharistic Reverence.” Gullickson will retire early, by the end of 2020.“I will need some time yet to be able to work out the implications for myself as a retired member of the hierarchy,” he writes, “Stay tuned for...

ELECTION 2020: America’s Vatican II MomentWhat do the circumstances surrounding the Mueller Report tell us about the importance of safeguarding the presidential election process? If we as a nation are concerned about a candidate potentially working with a foreign actor to release true information about his or her political opponents, does it seem likely that we would be unconcerned about a candidate coordinating with the media, polling firms, state officials, poll workers and vote counters to directly manipulate voting? In other words, if we think there is a problem with a relatively minor threat to the democratic process, do we...

[Catholic Caucus] New Italian Missal: “A Child Would Have Done Better” It took the Italian Bishops 18 years to publish the 2002 Novus Ordo Missal in Italian. From Easter 2021 Italy – and the Vatican – will use it.In its introduction the Missal tells the faithful not to kneel during the whole Eucharistic prayer (1) and to receive Communion standing (13).The priests are ordered not to use the Roman Canon customarily (6), and to preside behind the meal table toward the pews “whereever possible” leaving the altars uncovered (15).The Missal wants purple for funerals, not black, and imposes a wrong...

Archbishop Viganò Addresses the Catholic Identity Conference 2020 (Francis & the New World Order) SCAPEGOATING FRANCIS: How the Revolution of Vatican II serves the New World OrderArchbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, Apostolic Nuncio“Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.”Mt 8:221. WE LIVE IN EXTRAORDINARY TIMESAs each of us has probably understood, we find ourselves in an historical moment in time; events of the past, which once seemed disconnected, prove now to be unequivocally connected, both in the principles that inspire them and in the goals they seek to achieve. A fair and objective look at the current...

We now find ourselves in this doctrinal, moral, liturgical, and disciplinary cone of shadow.' But, we are not yet at the end stage of this disastrous development. 'It is not yet the total eclipse that we will see at the end of time, under the reign of the Antichrist,' the prelate adds.'But it is a partial eclipse, which lets us see the luminous crown of the sun encircling the black disk of the moon.' October 23, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – In a speech delivered today via video at the Catholic Identity Conference (CIC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò analyzes...

Abp. Viganò on Pope’s new Fratelli Tutti document: Brotherhood against God is ‘blasphemous’ Archbishop Viganò criticizes 'equivocal' statements of Fratelli Tutti that 'are lacking clarity,' and he once more rejects the novel concept of religious liberty introduced by the Second Vatican Council and which Pope Francis once more now endorses. October 6, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – In comments to LifeSite (see full statement below), Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò strongly criticizes different statements of the new papal encyclical on human fraternity, Fratelli Tutti, that seem to promote religious indifferentism (the idea that other religions are just as pleasing to God as the...

My friend. Thanks for writing. Here is my simple and uncomplicated answer. The Latin Mass is marvelous, a gift of God and the form of the Mass for over a thousand years, and one that Benedict XVI thankfully brought back into wide usage. The whole Church should be grateful and make full use of this liturgical form. I prefer the ad orientem posture of the priest in the Latin Mass, facing east. However, the Novus Ordo Mass is also beautiful and marvelous when celebrated correctly and reverently. They are both valid and beautiful gifts from God. The Latin Mass was...

Archbishop Viganò: Is Vatican II “Untouchable”? Peter Kwasniewski’s recent commentary, titled “Why Viganò’s critique of the Council must be taken seriously”, impressed me greatly. It appeared (here) on OnePeterFive, on June 29, and is one of the articles on which I have been meaning to comment: I do so now, with gratitude to the author and publisher for the opportunity they have given me. First, it seems to me that I can agree with practically all of what Kwasniewski has written: his analysis of the facts is extremely clear and polished and reflects my thoughts exactly. What I am...

[Catholic Caucus] Invalidly baptized Oklahoma priest baptized and ‘re-ordained’ Denver Newsroom, Sep 16, 2020 / 04:08 pm MT (CNA).- In the second known instance in the United States, a man who believed himself to be a validly baptized Catholic and ordained priest had to “re-receive” all of his sacraments, including ordination, after discovering that his baptism was invalid.Fr. Zachary Boazman, a priest of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, thought he was validly ordained in 2019. But in August, the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith issued a doctrinal note, reminding Catholics that baptisms are not valid if the...

Catholic spokesman evades question about whether Catholics and Muslims worship the same God Tim Staples can’t be faulted for this. The problem lies not with him, but with the false teachings of Vatican II about Islam, which put Catholics in an impossible position. There are numerous reasons why Catholics and Muslims do not worship the same God. I explain some below, and more here. But the ecumenical council says otherwise, and so either its teachings must be accepted and justified, or Catholics find themselves in a crisis of authority that calls into question some of the foremost dogmas of their...

Archbishop Viganò hints he believes God will deliver the election to President Trump In this wide-ranging interview, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano addresses the connections between the 'deep state' and the 'deep Church' and points out that the rebellion in society since the sexual revolution is linked to the rebellion in the Church, which stemmed from those who hijacked Vatican II. Abp. Viganò to Critics: Instead of “Assuming Schisms” Where There Are None, Better to Fight Long-lasting Errors Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, in a new response to two of his critics – Fr. Raymond de Souza and Fr. Thomas Weinandy, O.F.M. Cap. – shows himself indignant at the fact that these priests seem more willing to find fault among those who defend orthodoxy, rather than with those who have been spreading heterodoxy for decades. He proposes that, instead of “assuming schisms and heresies where there are none, it would be appropriate and more useful to fight error and division where they...

The Antichurch Cookbook? Vatican’s New Directory for Catechesis (Part I) NB: See the rest of this series, plus other articles on the same topic here. Readers are also encouraged to acquire a traditional Catholic catechism; see our list, or check Tradivox. Introduction The Vatican’s new Directory for Catechesis has received rather scanty attention in the Catholic press (its appearance amid the Covidmadness being likely to blame), but we aim to change that as quickly as possible; because Saints preserve us, this one’s a humdinger. We are aided here by the analysis of one master catechist and educational specialist who...

Catholic historian: If Cdl. Zen rightly criticizes Vatican Ostpolitik, why not ‘catastrophic’ Vatican II? ‘The Ostpolitik that Cardinal Zen criticizes, is, in fact, fruit of the Second Vatican Council. This is historical evidence that does not admit denials.’ August 21, 2020 (Rorate Caeli) — Cardinal Joseph Zen Ze-kiun is an eminent prelate who sincerely loves his country and the Church. Born in Shanghai in 1932, ordained to the priesthood in the Salesian Order in 1961, he was appointed Bishop by John Paul II in 1996 and created Cardinal by Benedict XVI in 2006. Between 1996 and 2009 he was coadjutor and subsequently...

The True Vatican II FAQs 1. What is Vatican II?Vatican II is a disastrous council which was called by John XXIII much to the surprise of everyone, as the Church was in amazing health and thriving at the time. It should be noted that John XXIII, shortly after he became pope, “went to the Holy Office (charged with guarding against heresy) and looked up his own file. There was a note attached to it: "suspected of Modernism.’” That basically says it all. John XXIII was responsible for allowing the left wing council fathers take it over, even agreeing with their...

[Catholic Caucus] ARCHBISHOP VIGANÒ: On Vatican II & Bishop Barron's Word on Fire August, 2020Your Excellency:Perhaps you’ll find this interesting. As you know, Bishop Robert Barron is certainly not the worst bishop in the US. I have benefited from some of his lectures in the past and do not wish to call into question his sincerity. That said, I find his recently-posted position on Vatican II, as laid out in some detail here, to be problematic on many levels. I have no idea whether or not the launching of this initiative ha anything to do with your own recent letters on the subject,...
