. . . Or is there just something really wrong about Ted Kennedy a/k/a "Club Ted" and his wife reading the love letters between John and Abigail Adams at a special Fanueil Hall presentation of the new book, "My Dearest Friend: Letters of Abigail and John Adams"? I mean, really, what would John Adams think, if he knew that the man impersonating him in reading his letters was the same guy who: a) apparently drowned the girlfriend he got pregnant; b) woke up his nephews for a night of carousing, after which a rape was committed by one of them;...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Veteran Sen. Ted Stevens has hired lawyers and been instructed by the FBI to preserve records relevant to a burgeoning federal investigation into corruption in Alaska, The Washington Post reported Thursday. As part of a larger probe, federal agents are investigating the remodeling of Stevens' Alaska home in 2000. The investigation is linked to the VECO Corp. bribery case that last month produced guilty pleas from two of the oil-field service company's top executives, according to law enforcement officials. "They put me on notice to preserve some records," Stevens, 83, told the Post, declining to say what...

The FBI and a federal grand jury have been investigating an extensive remodeling project at U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens' home in Girdwood that involved the top executive of Veco Corp. in the hiring of at least one of the key contractors. Three contractors who worked on the project said in recent interviews with the Daily News that the FBI asked them to turn over their records from the job. One said he was called to testify about the project before a federal grand jury in Anchorage in December. The remodeling work, which more than doubled the size of the house,...
  • Concert Review: Insults fly at 'The Nuge' show

Is this the Motor City Madman? Or is it the Fox News channel? Though he wasn't exactly hiding behind his patriotism at Sunset Station’s outdoor House of Blues stage on Thursday (fronting it is probably a better word), the S-word still fits “the Nuge,” who calls himself Uncle Ted these days. From the Ray Charles “America the Beautiful” opening, to walking out onstage carrying an American flag (albeit while wearing a Confederate flag T-shirt) and playing “The Star Spangled Banner” on his white Gibson guitar, Nugent was red, white and blue all over. Did we mention he recited the Pledge...

Abu Ghraib Is Back -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Senator Edward M. Kennedy took time out of his busy schedule to issue a press release reminding us all that it was the first anniversary of the scandal at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. http://kennedy.senate.gov/~kennedy/...2005426703.html I think everyone should contact Teddy on July 18th to remind him of the murder, I mean death of Mary Jo Kopechne. You can contact him at http://kennedy.senate.gov/~kennedy/index_low.html I just sent the following: "Senator Edward Kennedy, I just wanted to thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to issue a press release reminding us all that...

Gonzo-rocker and hunting activist Ted Nugent was injured today while cutting wood with a chainsaw. It apparently slipped while he tried to cut down a tree on his property in Texas. According to reports on his website (www.tednugent.com), his left knee was injured, but otherwise he's okay. He's in a cast and will be laid up for a while. Here's best wishes to a speedy recovery for our dear Uncle Ted!
