WASHINGTON — John Hinckley, Jr, known for his attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan, has been granted an unconditional release from a federal judge. Hinckley, who is now 66, has been on a gradual release from custody for years. Most recently, he was living outside a mental health facility.
