The Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the victims as Douglas R. Taylor, 72, and Donald C. Peterson Sr., 69, both of Laredo, Texas. According to crews on the scene, that plane was a Convair cargo plane flying from Millington, Tennessee which crashed on top of at least two semis at Bubba's Auto and Deisel near the airport just after 2:30 AM Wednesday morning. Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley (D) jabbed President Donald Trump Monday for mistakenly offering condolences to another Ohio city, Toledo, in his planned address on the two mass shootings that unfolded over the weekend. At the end of his 10-minute speech, President Trump, reading from a teleprompter, said, “May God bless the memory of those who perished in Toledo.” The president correctly referred to Dayton during other parts of his scheduled remarks.

One of the nation's largest neo-Nazi groups appears to have an unlikely new leader: a black activist who has vowed to dismantle it. Court documents filed Thursday suggest James Hart Stern wants to use his new position as director and president of the National Socialist Movement to undermine the Detroit-based group's defense against a lawsuit. The NSM is one of several extremist groups sued over bloodshed at a 2017 white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Stern's filing asks a federal court in Virginia to issue a judgment against the group before one of the lawsuits goes to trial. Stern replaced...

Even though the high temperature will likely be well below freezing today in Adrian, Michigan, you can bet that Everett Luoma, 87, will venture outside for a run. If it’s too cold for his liking, he’ll likely enjoy a longer run at the indoor track at Siena Heights University, where he serves as a volunteer assistant coach for the school’s cross-country and track teams. No matter where he gets in his workout, Luoma just needs to run—he’s kept a running streak since November, 2017, and made a log of each run ever since. Not only that, but he believes he’s...

Joseph, also known as Abdullah Ali Yusuf, was arrested after taking possession of two semi-automatic rifles in December, authorities said. Investigators became aware of Joseph after they noticed pictures of knives and firearms on his social media accounts, court records show. FBI agents posing as members of ISIS began a monthslong conversation with Joseph in which he offered his services in creating propaganda videos, officials said. In September, agents asked Joseph whether he hated people in America. “Oh yeah, definitely,” answered Joseph, according to court records. “The gays the Christians the Catholics the Jews you name it.” Undercover agents later...

BRYAN, Ohio -- When the New England Confectionery Co. filed for bankruptcy in Boston last spring, there was such an immediate and deep sense of loss across the country that folks took to local stores and Amazon to claim a piece of yet another what-used-to-be. Necco Wafers, its signature product, had been part of Americana since before the Civil War. In fact, the company said the sugary, chalky wafers were a favorite of soldiers because the confection didn't melt, and that they were consumed by Union soldiers on the battlefield during the Civil War and by GIs during World War...

The FBI said investigators found an AK-47, shotgun, handguns, ammunition and hand-caps, which are used to make pipe bombs, in her apartment. Witnesses from the former regime said that Tripoli had spent some 50 million euros in 2007 to fund the campaign of French presidential candidate Nicolas Sarkozy. Lebanese businessman Ziad Takeieddine, who was present at Sarkozy’s meetings with Gaddafi revealed that the “figures were much higher than that.” Tripoli also pumped 5 million dollars in the presidential campaign...

Toledo, OH – There have been new developments in the effort to close a dangerous and deceptive abortion facility in Toledo, Ohio, that require urgent action by pro-life supporters. After the Ohio Supreme Court ruled that the Ohio Department of Health was within its rights to revoke the Capital Care Network of Toledo’s Abortion Facility License for failing to maintain a local hospital transfer agreement, the abortion business began scrambling to keep its doors open. Capital Care Network (CCN) convinced ProMedica, a Toledo area hospital, to sign a transfer agreement earlier this week to prevent the closure of the abortion...

The Ohio Supreme Court upheld a 2014 state order shutting down Toledo’s last abortion center for violations of health laws, in a five-two decision released today. Abortion center Capital Care had been operating without a transfer agreement with a local hospital since 2013, in violation of a state law passed that same year, according to a press release from Created Equal, a pro-life group based in Columbus, Ohio. Ohio’s Department of Health ordered Capital Care closed in 2014, but the abortion facility appealed the decision, and the lower courts ruled in its favor. Republican Attorney General Mike DeWine’s office took...

Demolition of a Toledo Planned Parenthood abortion clinic. A pro-life monument is being erected on the site. An Ohio abortion facility shuttered by state health inspectors has been demolished to make way for a memorial for the unborn. The Center for Choice clinic in Toledo, Ohio, was shut down in 2013 after inspectors found moldy and rusted equipment, reported the Christian Times. The facility also violated a state regulation requiring it to have a transfer agreement with a local hospital in the event of a failed abortion. It was forced to pay a $25,000 fine as a result of...
