Veteran comedian Larry Storch, best remembered for starring on 1960’s F Troop, has passed away at 99. The death was officially announced on his Facebook page this morning. Storch was born in 1923 in New York. As a teenager, he started doing stand-up earning $12 a week. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he was discovered at Ciro’s (now The Comedy Store) in Los Angeles by none other than Lucille Ball.
