I have been a loyal publix customer for years.I live in Tallahassee Fl. I am upset with sale of snow crab legs. I noticed the price has sky rocked in the last year. They are like $10.99 a pound and the last few months they will go on sell for like $9.99 a pound. This is no sale. If you put them on sale more often and lower the prices you would sell out I guarantee you would not waste crab legs by letting them sit in a freezer getting freezer burnt. I am going to start shopping at Win...

Publix never disappoints w/ their holiday commercials. I LOVE my Publix!

A recent article high-lighted the pro-life commercial of Publix grocery store in which a mother and her daughter discuss in human terms the mother’s unborn child. The daughter in the commercial speaks to the unborn baby believing it can hear her (and it can!). It’s not often that you see commercials showing the unborn in such human terms, but after the Gosnell trial we hope to see more. You can watch the video here.

The woman who crashed into the Publix on Belle Terre Parkway was charged with careless driving Tuesday as the Florida Highway Patrol released a video showing her car shattering glass doors as it crashed into the supermarket and plowed through shoppers. "When you see the video you realize it's a miracle no one got killed," FHP Capt. Jerry Crews said. Ten Palm Coast residents were injured when 76-year-old Thelma Wagenhoffer's 2004 Toyota Camry "accelerated rapidly as it crossed the parking lot" and crashed into the Publix, the FHP said. The car careened through the store for 40 to 50 feet...

A Publix in Suwanee had a couple of uninvited guests this week: A pair of fawn that wandered into the supermarket and created a ruckus among shoppers and employees before store workers captured them, Channel 2 Action News reports. James Chronicle was standing in the pharmacy section of the store at 1000 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard about 5 p.m. Wednesday when he saw the front doors open and two young deer dart in. “They bolted through the store,” Chronicle told Channel 2. “I heard kids screaming and I thought I better catch those deer. I got to the back of the...

If your are even just slightly involved in couponing and don't have at least a three month supply of FREE body wash stockpiled then HANG YOUR HEAD IN SHAME! FREE body wash is among the easiest products to obtain with very little effort. This week is an example. Publix has a BOGO sale on Dial Body Wash for both men and women at $3.97. In last Sunday's Red Plum newspaper insert there were Dial coupons for $2. Use a coupon on each of the body washes and you get them both for FREE with a 3 cent overage. I...

TAMPA --Attention Publix coupon fanatics. There could be big changes in your shopping world soon. Publix officials confirm they're now considering a major shift in how the Lakeland-based grocery giant handles coupons, just as extreme couponing becomes a national trend. Publix spokeswoman Shannon Patten declined to offer many details on the change since the company has not yet decided on a final policy nor trained individual store managers. Publix has had a relatively lenient coupon policy, instructing cashiers to honor coupons from a range of competitors.

In the previous episode of The Coupon Whisperer I told you about the BOGO Hebrew National hot dog deal at Publix. Well, today I went to Publix to pick up a few packs but when I got to the display, my eyes bulged out. Next to the hot dogs was something I had been waiting almost a year to go BOGO: Hebrew National salami. Since it is so rare to get that salami BOGO and because it seems like there is a good BOGO hot dog deal at least once a month, I ditched my plan to buy the...

If you live in the Southeast, you are in luck this week. Publix is selling delicious BOGO hot dogs. Yes, nothing tastes so good as those BOGO hot dogs. Huh? What brand is BOGO? Actually any brand can be BOGO if the supermarket deems it so. In case you haven't heard, BOGO stands for Buy One, Get One FREE! And in this case the BOGO is for Hebrew National Hot Dogs for just $4.99. That means you get TWO packages of hot dogs while only paying for ONE. A savvy couponer will be on the lookout for great deals...

So why are you not now GORGING yourselves on Boston Market frozen dinners from Publix? If you had been following my advice and been checking out the coupon websites I suggested you would KNOW that right now (until next Wednesday) you can get Boston Market frozen dinners for just a buck each at Publix. Actually with the printout coupons just 50 cents each but since you are only allowed about a couple of printouts, I find it frustrating to mess with those in this situation.Personally I am GORGING on Boston Market Country Fried steak dinners. I have found them to...

A man accused of hiding two pounds of hot dogs in his pants before leaving a grocery store sans paying faces a misdemeanor theft charge, according to a recently released arrest affidavit. A loss prevention worker at a Publix at South U.S. 1 and Prima Vista Boulevard last week told investigators she saw a man later identified as Allan Polhemus on aisle five "conceal a package of hot dogs in his pants," an affidavit states. The 32 ounce package of Publix jumbo beef franks was valued at $6.99. The wiener packaging describes the dogs as "meaty & delicious" and as...

These are more "jobs Americans won't do," according to Publix supermarkets. In southwest Florida, where there's 14 percent unemployment, the supermarket chain is importing Brazilians and Peruvians on J-1 "cultural exchange" visas. Unbelievable. I'd boycott the chain if I lived down there.

Responding to customers' complaints, Publix has stopped distributing a free 2010 calendar that marked Dec. 7 as the start of the Islamic New Year but excluded the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Joyce Kaufman, whose radio talk show on WFTL-AM 850 is broadcast from Miami-Dade to Palm Beach counties, criticized the supermarket chain on her show Wednesday, saying the company failed to include Pearl Harbor in a calendar that it had widely provided at supermarkets in recent weeks. Kaufman, a Coconut Creek resident, said omitting the Pearl Harbor anniversary would disappoint World War II veterans. She told the...

I noticed that December 7th is highlighted as the Islamic new year with no mention of Pearl Harbor Day. This was an important date in the history of our nation that affected all of us from that day forward in so many ways. The sacrifice that our grandparents made during those war years influenced how children learned to live their lives...and then there were the those fathers, sons, and husbands that never came back. Shame on you for deleting part of American history from your calendar in favor of political correctness. I plan to publish this letter on several forums...

CAPE CORAL - Publix supermarket chain said today it will make seven common prescription antibiotics available for free, joining other major retailers in trying to lure customers to their stores with cheap medications. Fourteen-day supplies of the seven drugs will be available at all 684 of the chain's pharmacies in five Southern states. The prescription antibiotics available under the program are amoxicillin, cephalexin, penicillin VK,...

Was at a Publix in Boca Raton today. Was looking for oil and came accross Publix Corn Oil, PRINTED IN SPANISH! In small letters was English, like I was in Mexico City or something. I asked the stock guy who was there and he said that more and more Publix products are going that way. Products they identify hispanics buying more of.

Publix Super Markets is branching out with a Hispanic flair. The Lakeland-based grocer confirmed Thursday it plans to convert two of its 850 stores into Hispanic-format supermarkets, with bilingual employees, Spanish music on the loudspeaker, and hard-to-find imports. Publix Sabor, which means Publix Flavor, will open in early May in Kissimmee and Hialeah. The two Florida stores will feature expanded selections of Hispanic foods, including new offerings from Publix's private-label food line, such as a mojo marinade and frozen plantains.

ALERT: Publix & Burdines proving funds for anti-gun program Numerous folks from the Miami area are very upset about Publix supermarkets and Burdines department stores assisting the anti-gun effort and promoting crime by providing FREE $50 gift certificates for "gun buy-back" programs in Florida. These programs incite street thugs to break into homes and gun shops to steal guns to turn in -- no questions asked -- for free $50 gift certificates. The program also provides a "no questions asked" means for criminals to get rid of guns used in crime -- which destroys evidence needed to help solve crimes....
