As America reels from another mass shooting in Florida, one abortion activist used the tragedy to claim that fewer mass shootings would happen if more babies were aborted. Journalist Becky Griffin’s tweets about abortion and the mass shooting went viral Thursday. “Woman puts baby up for adoption, he grows up to be a violent young man who will spend the rest of his life in prison for a mass murder. Tell me more about how abortions are wrong,” she wrote Thursday. The tweet is a reference to alleged mass murderer Nikolas Cruz’s background as an adopted child. According to the...

While many in Hollywood support and even praise abortion, one rapper’s new music video is breaking with the trend to stress the tragedy of abortion. On Valentine’s Day, Eminem released the music video for his song, “River.” The nearly seven-minute video came as a part of the 45-year-old’s Revival album released Dec. 15. The footage revealed the heartbreak of a couple who have an affair and the pain of losing a “little one” in abortion. Unlike the song itself, the video captured the couple’s fight over whether or not to keep their baby. In December, MRC Culture writer Corinne Weaver...

One Planned Parenthood affiliate is asking women to host “Galentine’s Day” parties and fundraise with “safe sex themed Valentines,” complete with “vagina and birth control cupcakes.” In a “toolkit” obtained by Bustle, the Planned Parenthood of New York City (PPNYC) Activist Council insisted that women turn their Galentine’s Day into a “fearless fundraising extravaganza!” Held the day before Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day (a term coined by Parks and Recreation) is about “ladies celebrating ladies.” However, PPNYC urged, “you should feel free to invite folks from any gender identity you choose!” “Hosting a Galentine’s Day PPNYC fundraiser is a fun way...

A Christian university in Washington state will open its stage in March to women who believe aborting their unborn babies was a good thing. The theater department at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington is sponsoring the pro-abortion event in partnership with the Planned Parenthood abortion chain, according to the Daily Caller. The event, “Out of Silence: Abortion Stories from the 1 in 3 Campaign,” will promote the disproved statistic that one in three women will abort an unborn baby in her lifetime. “From the halls of Congress to pulpits and court houses around the country, women’s personal stories about...

Demonstrating a staggering lack of self-awareness, on Thursday, MSNBC Congressional Correspondent Garrett Haake promoted pro-abortion Democratic California Senator Kamala Harris declaring: “...we have to have smart gun safety laws. And we cannot tolerate a society and live in a country with any level of pride when our babies are being slaughtered.”

The democracy of American women depends on the ability to end the lives of their unborn babies, according to one feminist leader beloved by the media. On Monday, AP correspondent Julie Carr Smyth reported that just “hours” after pressure from feminist Gloria Steinem, a hospital system entered a patient-transfer agreement with the last abortion clinic in Toledo, Ohio. Steniem asked both ProMedica and St. Luke's Hospital to work with abortion provider Capital Care of Toledo, so that it wouldn’t close down due to state regulation. ProMedica complied. A Toledo native, the 83-year-old Steinem released a statement to the hospitals. "We...

Planned Parenthood’s Valentine’s Day prank demonstrates just how devoid the organization is of true love. To spite United States Vice President Mike Pence and re-enact a previous prank, Planned Parenthood released a call this Valentine’s Day to donate to their abortion group in Pence’s name, the Federalist reports. The abortion chain apparently is replicating actress Mila Kunis’ prank that accomplished the same trick. Planned Parenthood jokingly remarked that it is urging this donation to “break Mike Pence’s heart.” The remainder of the report demonstrates that the vice president’s heart is not the only one that Planned Parenthood seeks to break....

The Planned Parenthood abortion business has filed suit against a pro-life law in the state of Ohio that protects unborn babies with Down Syndrome. The law prohibits abortions when done specifically because an unborn child has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Because the Planned Parenthood abortion business has never met an abortion it is not willing to perform, it has filed a lawsuit against the state law which pro-life Governor John Kasich signed last year. Here’s more: “The patient-doctor relationship is critical; a woman should be able to trust her physicians and have confidential conversations without worrying about government interference,”...

A Mississippi woman is being accused of killing her newborn baby by leaving the child in a toilet, possibly because she did not want more children. The Starkville Daily News reports Latice Fisher, 32, of Starkville, Mississippi, allegedly told a nurse that she did not want another child and knew about her pregnancy at least a month before she gave birth. Police said they also found internet searches on Fisher’s phone showing that she allegedly researched abortion drugs. According to the report, the incident came to light in April 2017 when Charles Fischer Jr., the woman’s husband, called 911 about...

For the second time in two months, the outgoing president of the Planned Parenthood abortion business has said that Christian doctors and nurses ought to be forced to perform abortions. Last month, Cecile Richards sent an email to supporters of the Planned Parenthood abortion company asking them to contact the Department of Health and Human Services to reject proposed guidelines protecting the conscience rights of medical professionals who don’t want to be forced to be involved in abortions by either killing unborn children or referring patients for abortions. Without such conscience protections, pro-life doctors, Christian medical workers, and others who...

Compassion causes people to sacrifice their time, money, and safety to help those who are less fortunate. This sense of compassion is what prompts Diana and her network of volunteers provide transportation for women who seek abortions. It is unfortunate that their “compassion” consists of assisting a woman in ending the life of another human being. The Huffington Post reports Diana is one of many volunteers who run a “service,” similar to Uber or Lyft, that transports women to and from abortion clinics. Women rely on this service, especially in states with few abortion clinics and no public transportation, according...

Humanae vitae, Blessed Pope Paul VI’s encyclical reaffirming the Church’s defense of the sanctity of human life, was promulgated fifty years ago this year. It was dated July 25, 1968. When July rolls around later this year I shall have some things to say, God willing, about the encyclical’s content. What I’m talking about here is some of the aftermath of the document’s promulgation.Only some. I’m going for a broad picture and in as few words as possible. I shall not deal, for instance, with the epic fight of Patrick Cardinal O’Boyle to preserve doctrinal orthodoxy at the Catholic University...

Comedian Sarah Silverman said during a telethon to support abortions that a pro-life conscience law “would make her want to eat an aborted fetus.” Silverman made the comment during a game of “abortion charades” – part of a “telethon” titled Life Is a Living Nightmare: A Telethon to Fix It, hosted by the Lady Parts Justice League. As LifeNews reports, Silverman and colleague Lizz Winstead, creator of the Daily Show, hosted the telethon to raise money for abortions. The event also featured an interview with abortionist Willie Parker who claims in his recent book there is a moral argument for...

A West Virginia bill that would end taxpayer funding for abortions in the state is slated for a public hearing Monday in the state House. West Virginia is one of 17 states that funds elective abortions for low-income women through Medicaid. State House Bill 4012 would end taxpayer funding for abortions except when medically necessary to save the mother’s life, the AP reports. Since 1977, state taxpayers have been forced to pay millions of dollars for tens of thousands unborn babies’ abortion deaths, according to West Virginians for Life. “The federal government limits tax funding of abortions to cases of...

Last week, I ran a column urging pastors to do more than simply tell their congregants to be bold in their faith. I also urged pastors to be specific by taking a stand themselves on specific issues. The example I gave was defending the unborn. In the process, I suggested that pastors needed to teach congregants how to defend the unborn from a scientific and philosophical perspective. This provoked several angry emails from Christian readers who insisted that we need to defend the unborn solely from scripture. I write today in response to those misguided critics. My pro-life Christian critics understand...

The New York Times columnist David Brooks writes in a “memo” to Democratic Party leaders that their support for abortion on demand up until birth is hurting their party. Pointing out the failure of the Senate to muster 60 votes to protect unborn babies from abortion past the fifth month of pregnancy, Brooks notes, “I kept wondering: How much is our position on late-term abortions hurting us?” Taking his readers back through time before Roe v. Wade, when the Supreme Court created a right to abortion – though, as Alan Dershowitz has noted, none ever existed in the Constitution –...
