BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I got an email during the break. "Rush, what do you mean, 'In two weeks the left and the Democrats will revert back to who they are'?" Okay, let me give you an example. Back in 2002 when the Republicans won the midterms... It never happens. The party in power always loses midterm elections. People just naturally -- human nature -- express their unhappiness with the first two years of a presidency. It just happens, and the party out of power usually picks up seats. It doesn't take back the chamber, but they just pick up seats....

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: We'll go back to the archives, just a couple of sound bites of me from this program. First, on the day Trump announced, we're gonna go back to June 16th, 2015, this is the day that will live forever. Donald Trump and the wife, Melania, traveling down the escalator at Trump Tower to deliver a speech announcing his candidacy that everybody in the media laughed at. What did I say? RUSH ARCHIVE: This is gonna resonate with a lot of people, I guarantee you, and the Drive-Bys are gonna pooh-pooh it. They're gonna relegate it to the...

Philippines' president-elect Rodrigo Duterte vowed Sunday to reintroduce capital punishment and give security forces "shoot-to-kill" orders in a devastating war on crime. In his first press conference since winning the May 9 elections in a landslide, the tough-talking mayor of southern Davao city warned his campaign threats to kill were not rhetoric. "What I will do is urge Congress to restore (the) death penalty by hanging," Duterte, 71, told a press conference in Davao. He also said he would give security forces "shoot-to-kill" orders against organised criminals or those who violently resisted arrest. "If you resist, show violent resistance, my...

Posted on | May 8, 2016 | 1 Comment Economy is the most important issue for the voters. Poll after poll voters put economy as the number 1 issue. Today on CNN John King quoted recent polls. Overall around the country Trump beats Clinton on economy by 5%: Trump-50%, Clinton-45% What is really huge, is the fact that in the North-East, the rust belt, Trump beats her on economy by 25%: Trump- 59%, Clinton-34% This is extremely important as Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan are the most important swing states.

Donald Trump has tapped Chris Christie to lead his transition team, which would prepare the political neophyte turned presumptive GOP nominee for the White House if he wins in the general election. “Governor Christie is an extremely knowledgeable and loyal person with the tools and resources to put together an unparalleled Transition Team, one that will be prepared to take over the White House when we win in November,” Trump said in a quote released Monday morning as part of a campaign statement.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama is creating a council to help ensure a smooth transition to his successor. Created by executive order, the White House Transition Coordinating Council will be led by Obama's chief of staff. Members include deputies to the chief of staff, the intelligence director, the budget director and the president's homeland security and counterterrorism adviser. The council's responsibilities include providing guidance to departments and agencies, working with the transition directors for the presidential candidates and holding emergency preparedness and response exercises.

Hey, it was just a harmless prank! No real harm done. Ha! Ha! That is the tone of The Atlantic magazine article explaining away the vandalism performed by the Clinton White House as it transitioned over to the incoming George W. Bush administration. The article is about how tough it is to transition from one White House administration to the next but the real purpose as we shall see is to slam Donald Trump for mishandling a transition that has yet to happen because he hasn't even been nominated yet. First author Russell Berman attempts to explain away a major...

WASHINGTON, June 11— The General Accounting Office, an investigative arm of Congress, said today that ''damage, theft, vandalism and pranks did occur in the White House complex'' in the presidential transition from Bill Clinton to George W. Bush. The agency put the cost at $13,000 to $14,000, including $4,850 to replace computer keyboards, many with damaged or missing W keys. Some of the damage, it said, was clearly intentional. Glue was smeared on desk drawers. Messages disparaging President Bush were left on signs and in telephone voice mail. A few of the messages used profane or obscene language. ''A Secret...

A yearlong investigation into whether Clinton administration aides left the White House in fraternity-party disarray as they vacated the presidential premises has turned up about $15,000 in damage, according to a government report released Tuesday. Rep. Bob Barr (R-Ga.) asked the General Accounting Office last June to look into allegations that Clinton staffers had ripped phone cords from walls, left obscene voicemail messages, defaced bathrooms and vandalized computer keyboards by removing the "W" keys when they left the White House. A number of items, including a 12-inch presidential seal and several antique doorknobs, were assumed stolen. "The Clinton administration treated...

Voters in Mexico have chosen to bring the country's once dominant political party back into power by electing Enrique Pena Nieto as their next president... On Monday, U.S. President Barack Obama called Pena Nieto to congratulate him and offer U.S. support in meeting mutual goals.

A 73-Year-Old Man Tried to Assassinate JFK with a Buick Full of Dynamite Weeks after John Fitzgerald Kennedy beat Richard Nixon in the 1960 United States presidential election, an elderly man nearly killed the President-Elect. Richard Pavlick, a disturbed man with anti-Catholic sentiments, packed his car and traveled from New Hampshire to Florida with one goal in mind - the death of President-Elect Kennedy. Pavlick's brute force plan would likely have succeeded, but a moment of compassion stopped Pavlick in his tracks and allowed for the era of Camelot to begin. Retired postal worker Richard Pavlick often voiced anti-Catholic sentiments...

You and I have been assured that January the 20th, 2009 is a day like no other. It's supposed to be a historic day. The promise of change is in the air. The individual to be sworn in to be the President of the United States is being cannonized by the media. This historic day changes everything, I am assured. Tom Hanks is just thrilled. So are many other "beautiful people". HBO has devoted many hours to the Commander in Chief Elect. The red carpet is being rolled out by major media outlets, the Democrat party, the citizens of the...

Federal prosecutors last summer rejected claims that ISNA was unfairly named an unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding case. ISNA has admitted ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. The Muslim Brotherhood is waging, in its own words, "a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.” And the head of ISNA is going to offer a

At past inaugurations, ceremonial prayers uttered on behalf of the incoming president drew about as much attention as the flags on the podium. Not this year. Barack Obama's choice of clergy is under scrutiny like no other president-elect before him, alternately outraging Americans on the left and the right as he navigates the minefield of U.S. religion. "I can't recall any prayers drawing so much attention," said Charles Haynes, senior scholar at the First Amendment Center who specializes in religion in public life. Gay advocates assailed Obama, while many conservative Christians were heartened, when he invited the Rev. Rick Warren,...

Jeffrey Imm writes in with an AP report about the January 21 Inaugural prayer service to take place at the National Cathedral in Washington. Among those officiating will be Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). This is an outrage and should be stopped. What's ISNA? As I have written (here, for instance), the US government has identified ISNA as a Muslim Brotherhood front organization. Actually, the Muslim Brotherhood itself has identified ISNA as a Muslim Brotherhood front organization. And the Muslim Brotherhood is all about extending Islamic law globally--even in America. According to its 1991...

In an extraordinary outreach effort, the president-elect is actively soliciting input from special-interest groups with no holds barred. Shockingly, not a single firearms group has responded (there are 39 pages just listing groups that have filed reports). http://change.gov/open_government/yourseatatthetable

I’ve obtained documents sent to a reader in response to his FOIA request regarding the creation of Barack Obama’s Change.gov website. It gives you the rest of the story. You’ll recall last month that I blogged several questions about the propriety of allowing the perpetual Obama campaign to use a .gov domain name for what appeared to be a fund-raising front. Readers and industry observers noted that the decision appeared to violate General Services Administration rules governing government domains. Guess what? They were right. The FOIA documents sent to Lance O., which he forwarded to me, reveal that the GSA...

Removing All Doubt Obama Would Cede Southwest to Mexico American Patrol Report -- December 19 "We are all Americans, whether you are legalized or not" Anyone who still doubts that Barack Obama is determined to grant de-facto amnesty to millions of illegal aliens should explain to the rest of us why he picked Hilda Solis to be Secretary of Labor. A long-time supporter of la Reconquista, the Mexican takeover of the American Southwest, Solis is also a leader in the movement to silence Americans who speaks out against the invasion, specifically Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly. At a...
