Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), who’s quite vocally suggested President Barack Obama use his visit to the Vatican to explain to Pope Francis the so-called contraception mandate, lobbed another idea at Obama on Twitter Thursday morning: go to confession about this whole spying-on-the-Vatican thing: The Italian magazine Panorama reported last October that the National Security Agency — those guys! — had monitored up to 46 million phone calls in and out of the Vatican during the Papal conclave in which Pope Francis was chosen.
