A drunk Davy Jones wasn’t monkeying around when he challenged an entire bar audience to fight him after giving an impromptu singing performance. The ex lead singer of the Monkees was drunk, according to an eyewitness, when he had his public meltdown at the Edison Hotel bar in Sunbury, Pennsylvania on December 11. Jones, 63, was with his new wife Jessica Pacheco, 32, when he surprised a crowd of about 30 by showing up with his band to sing at the bar, which is near his home. But it quickly turned into a bizarre scene as Davy, holding a drink,...

Peter Tork, former member of the wildly popular 60's group The Monkees, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma and will undergo extensive surgery today in New York. The cancer is uncommon and generally grows slowly on a person's head and neck. It's most frequently found in the salivary glands but in Tork's case was discovered on the lower region of his tongue. Doctors say preliminary findings from a biopsy show the cancer has not spread beyond the initial site and the 67-year old Tork says his prognosis is good. His surgery will be...

For over two weeks, Americans have been viewing scenes of chaos and carnage, as the French children of North African immigrants have rampaged through French towns with sticks, rocks, and Molotov cocktails. Aside from a frisson of well-deserved schadenfreude, what does this upheaval tell us? As many pundits have suggested, maybe the French don’t understand multiculturalism. As the kids would say nowadays, "Duh." What other country actually has an agency to preserve the purity of language, like the Academie Francaise? Or a Culture Ministry that issues edicts banning the use of the “foreign” word “e-mail” in French government emails. To...

I’m a believer in the power of liberty to transform societies, and I believe we have a duty, I believe we have a duty to spread liberty so that our children and grandchildren can grow up in peace," Bush told Bill O'Reilly. "I believe that peace is coming, and I believe that we’re more free. I believe we’ve done our duty to our children and our grandchildren to fight these ideologues...
