Guess you folks forgot I wrote this back on November 8, 2020. Click here.We are having a parallel situation to what happened in Mexico with Porfirio Diaz in a way. He cheated, got caught, and the people were enraged. Even when Federal troops gunned folks down in the Zocalo square, they did NOT retreat. Porfirio Diaz had to flee the country.

MEXICO CITY — Protesters ransacked and burned government offices Monday in Chilpancingo, the capital of Guerrero state, in an explosion of outrage over the suspected kidnapping and murder of 43 students by corrupt local police. Anti-government rallies have been held in several Mexican cities since the students’ disappearance Sept. 26 and the subsequent discovery of mass graves outside Iguala, about 120 miles south of Mexico City. But on Monday, the protests turned violent.

McALLEN — Mexican drug cartels are infiltrating federal law enforcement agencies along the southwest border and those charged with weeding them out say they don’t have the money to catch all the corrupt agents, homeland security officials told a U.S. Senate panel Thursday. James Tomsheck, assistant commissioner with U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Internal Affairs, told a Senate homeland security subcommittee in Washington that only about one in 10 of the new hires for agency jobs are given polygraph tests, and of those, 60 percent are deemed unsuitable for employment. That means that many who joined the agency...

MEXICO CITY — An eccentric street vendor known for his Rambo-style headband took charge of Mexico City's most populous borough Thursday — at least for a few hours. Rafael Acosta strode into Mexico City's legislature with his arms raised triumphantly and was sworn into office. Immediately after the ceremony, he requested a leave of absence — part of an elaborate political scheme that has captivated Mexico. The concept is this: Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, the leader of Mexico's left, wants to hold onto Iztapalapa, a poor but populous borough of 1.8 million people that is the equivalent of a swing...

WASHINGTON — President-elect Barack Obama promised visiting Mexican President Felipe Calderón during a 90-minute summit Monday that the incoming administration would take stronger action to stem the flow of assault-style weapons smuggled from Texas to drug lords in Mexico. Obama, outlining his plans for U.S.-Mexico relations in detail for the first time, vowed to find ways to collaborate more effectively with Mexico to reduce drug-related violence, including weapons bought in U.S. cities used to cut down Mexican troops and police, said his press secretary, Robert Gibbs. Obama applauded the steps taken by Calderón to improve security in Mexico, Gibbs said,...

Is a U.S. Customs informant responsible for the death of two U.S. citizens? And was he allowed to get away with it because agents badly wanted to get his drug boss? According to dozens of pages of government documents, that is exactly what happened. ABC-7 uses exclusive information to outline a bloody drug tale in which murder plays a major role. El Paso Police will not yet confirm what ABC-7 has already uncovered. The cold-blooded killing outside the Whataburger at Paisano and Piedras, earlier this year, is directly related to a U.S. Customs informant working closely with the Vicente Carrlllo...
