As he entered a New Year’s even party at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort Tuesday evening, Rudy Giuliani stopped to talk to several reporters. During the course of his two-minute discussion with them, he laid out the high points of what he says was an organized plot by “the highest levels” of the Obama Administration to literally loot the Ukraine for millions during the Obama presidency. Giuliani, a former U.S. attorney, has spent the better part of the last year investigating the activities of Joe and Hunter Biden, along with other Democrat luminaries, as they relate to the Ukraine on behalf...

Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claims she was trafficked by convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and forced to have sex with Prince Andrew on three occasions nearly 20 years ago, has shared more details of her story in a shocking interview broadcast Monday. Roberts, now 35, told BBC Panorama in a one-hour sitdown -- reportedly conducted before the broadcaster's interview with Andrew that aired Nov. 14 -- how she first met Epstein. According to Roberts, she was working at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate as a locker room attendant when she was recruited by Epstein's on-again, off-again girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, to give Epstein...

This is interesting on the merits but also interesting in that two of the most powerful platforms in right-wing media are promoting it.I suppose one could argue that Trump handing the G7 to his own business isn’t a textbook emolument since it doesn’t really function as a bribe, which is what the constitutional ban is all about. We don’t want the president receiving fat envelopes from foreign dignitaries for fear that that’ll influence his views on foreign policy. Imagine if, say, the president of Ukraine could curry favor with POTUS by telling him that he recently paid for the...

Fox News analyst Andrew Napolitano directly quoted the Constitution to say why it’s wrong for President Donald Trump to host the G-7 at a resort he owns, calling it a “direct and profound” violation. “He has bought himself an enormous headache now with the choice of this. This is about as direct and profound a violation of the Emoluments Clause as one could create,” Napolitano told Neil Cavuto on Cavuto: Coast to Coast.

White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney announced during a White House press briefing that the 2020 G7 summit will be held at Trump National in Doral, Florida, from June 10-12. "We used the same set of criteria that previous administrations have used," Mulvaney said. He said Doral was "far and away the best physical facility for this meeting." President Donald Trump is sure to receive criticism and will face questions about whether he stands to profit financially from the large summit. Trump has received such criticism in the past for hosting foreign leaders, including China's President Xi Jinping,...

Since President Donald Trump took office, his administration has secured the release of 17 prisoners foreign governments had detained. “We’ve had 17 released, and we’re very proud of that record. Very proud. And we have others coming,” Trump said Saturday evening as he welcomed home Joshua Holt, an American citizen who had been detained in Venezuela for two years without trial. Unlike his predecessor, the president has managed to bring these prisoners home without freeing terrorists or paying millions of dollars in suspected ransom payments. 1. Yujing Zhang, the Chinese woman arrested at Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump's private Florida club, earlier this year, has been found guilty on counts of unlawfully entering a restricted building and making false statements to a federal officer. Prosecutors called nine witnesses in a trial that lasted two days. Zhang chose to represent herself during the trial with assistance from the Federal Public Defender's office and court-appointed translators. Zhang faces up to six years in prison. She will be sentenced in late November.

Yujing Zhang stalled jury selection after appearing in court dressed in a brown jumpsuit instead of civilian clothes, claiming she wasn’t given any underwear. Dressing defendants in civilian clothing is common practice during trials to prevent jury prejudice. The 33-year-old Shanghai business consultant was eventually taken to a holding cell, where she changed into a blouse and khaki pants that were found in her hotel room after Secret Service agents arrested her at the Florida club in March. Zhang fired her public defenders in June against the recommendation of U.S. District Judge Roy Altman in order to represent herself with...

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — The upcoming trial of a Chinese national on federal charges that she trespassed at President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort and lied to the Secret Service is potentially a circus wrapped in mystery. Rejecting the strong recommendation of U.S. District Judge Roy Altman, Yujing Zhang fired her public defenders in June to act as her own attorney - a longshot move the 33-year-old Shanghai business consultant has struggled with during pretrial hearings setting up Monday's scheduled jury selection. Zhang often frustrates Altman by ignoring his questions or answering with non sequiturs. At times she replies in...

David Simon, a former journalist for The Baltimore Sun and executive producer of HBO's The Wire (2002-2008), used Twitter to express his desire that God use Hurricane Dorian to destroy Mar-a-Lago, a National Historic Landmark sometimes used for presidential meetings that is owned by President Donald Trump, who refers to it as the "Winter White House." "After the last three years, the work of a just and righteous God cannot be considered credible evidence of His goodness unless He picks all of Mar-a-lago up by the roots, sails it across half of Florida and heaves it on top of Doral...

As Dorian makes landfall on the Bahamas with winds of 185-mph, it is now the strongest hurricane to hit the Bahamas region in modern records. Only one storm in the Atlantic have ever exceeded a wind speed of 185-mph. President Trump warns it could be among the 'strongest' to hit in decades. "Dorian has become the strongest hurricane in modern records for the northwestern Bahamas," the National Hurricane Center said on Sunday morning. As of Sunday afternoon, Dorian was located over Great Abaco island in the Bahamas. The powerful Category 5 hurricane was packing winds of 185-mph with higher gusts...

A strange thing happened when Jeffrey Epstein came back to New York City after being branded a sex offender: His reputation appeared to rise. In 2010, the year after he got out of a Florida prison, Katie Couric and George Stephanopoulos dined at his Manhattan mansion with a British royal. The next year, Mr. Epstein was photographed at a “billionaire’s dinner” attended by tech titans like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk. A page popped up on Harvard University’s website lauding his accomplishments, and superlative-filled news releases described his lofty ambitions as he dedicated $10 million to charitable causes.
