WASHINGTON - A tough U.S. Marine stationed in one of the most hostile areas of Iraq has a message for Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid: "We need to stay here and help rebuild." In raw and emotional language from the bloody front lines, Cpl. Tyler Rock, of the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, skewered Reid for being far removed from the patriotism and progress in Iraq. "Yeah, and I got a quote for that [expletive] Harry Reid. These families need us here," Rock vented in an e-mail to Pat Dollard, a Hollywood agent-turned-war reporter who posted the comment on his Web...

Worried about ignorance among students concerning the objectives of Islamic fascism and the “unholy alliance” between campus leftists and jihadists seeking to undermine the War on Terror, the Freedom Center has launched a Terrorism Awareness Project to equip conservative students with an intellectual toolkit containing all the elements...
  • [Vanity] How can one force indictments for treason?

I apologize for the vanity thread. I simply have no clue where to find an answer for this question aside from here. With the recent news of outright subversion of both our troops and President which multiple members of FR have responded to as being treason, is there any way for a normal citizen to force an indictment / investigation / etc.? You can do a Google search and find a senator charged with DUI, among other incidents, so it's not as though our senators and representatives enjoy immunity, it's just they're not being pursued in the right manner in...

.. MD:.. I watched some of Tuesday's House testimony by former CIA analyst and head Bin Laden hunter Michael Scheuer on C-SPAN. *snip* .. he made a vitriolic attack on your work on the secret prisons story. His basic viewpoint could be summed up as "people are trying to kill Americans -- we have to kill those people and if innocents suffer along the way, tough." I did some Internet research and the guy seems to run with an odd mix of people -- including antiwar.com, a libertarian site that sees all war as a tool of state expansion. Yet...

Friday, April 20, 2007 WASHINGTON -- This week, while the masters of America's mainstream media were probing the carnage perpetrated by a deranged, lone gunman in Blacksburg, Va., Defense Secretary Robert Gates was in Israel, discounting the threat posed by an irrational government intent on acquiring nuclear weapons. Neither act makes any sense. In the aftermath of the tragedy at Virginia Tech, schoolmates, faculty members and law enforcement officials pointed to the gunman's pattern of unbalanced behavior, menacing anger and self-destructive writings. Numerous reports cited rules and privacy laws that barred authorities from acting to thwart the massacre of 32...

Our civilization is under attack from a new kind of weapon: the suicide killer. Sometimes these killers explode bombs, sometimes they crash airplanes into buildings, sometimes they go on shooting rampages - as happened at Virginia Tech on Monday. Technology has made each individual potentially more of a menace to society, here and around the world. Not only do people have access to explosives and rapid-firing guns, but the specter of future infernal invention haunts us further. What new methods of mayhem will be concocted? The forces of peace and order are not equipped to deal with oncoming threats. In...
