Kamala Harris was seen leaving an appearance in Miami where she was guarded by a Secret Service officer armed with an assault weapon - the same type of gun she vowed to ban. In the photos exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, the VP hopeful is seen leaving Florida Memorial University on Thursday, ironically being protected by the same assault rifle that she promised to ban within the first 100 days of her term. It's worth noting, however, that Secret Service agents are trained and equipped to handle such a weapon.

The aspirational athletic-wear maker Lululemon, famous for its expensive leggings sported by young urban professionals, is facing vigorous criticism for promoting a yoga workshop billed as an opportunity to “resist capitalism”. The Canadian-headquartered international company, valued at $45bn, suggested participants will be able to learn how “gender constructs across the world have informed culture and the ways violent colonialism has erased these histories to enforce consumerism”.

Pope on fraternal correction, Jesus’s pedagogy of rehabilitation During the Angelus, Pope Francis warned Christians against “gossip”. He notes that “The chatterbox is the devil because he is the liar who tries to divide the Church". Fraternal correction according to Jesus addresses two concerns, a communal one, “safeguarding communion, that is Church unity, and a personal one, which requires attention and respect for every individual conscience.” Vatican City (AsiaNews) – In today’s Angelus, Pope Francis spoke to the faithful gathered in St Peter’s Square, explaining that Jesus always rehabilitates and does not condemn those who make mistakes. In his address,...

Tweet in article. Gov. Andrew Cuomo has not budged on his quarantine rule for any travelers coming from this long list of states. If you're on the list, you have to quarantine in New York for two weeks. However, if you're a celebrity, you're in luck. As it turns out, Cuomo is happy to make exceptions to his quarantine rule for Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, and anyone else who plans to present or perform at this summer's MTV Video Music Awards. This year's award ceremony was scheduled to be held at the Barclays Arena, but due to the pandemic the...

Left-wing activist Rev. Jesse Jackson decried widespread looting in the Democrat-run city of Chicago Monday morning, calling it “humiliating, embarrassing, and morally wrong.” “This act of pillaging, robbing & looting in Chicago was humiliating, embarrassing & morally wrong,” Jackson wrote on social media. “It must not be associated with our quest for social justice and equality. #DrKing, #MedgarEvers & , our martyrs, cry together in shame.” Hundreds of people descended on downtown Chicago overnight after a police shooting on the city’s South Side, with vandals smashing the windows of dozens of businesses and making off with merchandise, cash machines, and...

“More than anything, this pandemic has fully, finally torn back the curtain on the idea that so many of the folks in charge know what they’re doing,” said Barack Obama during an online commencement address to graduates of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in mid-May. Obama was referring to the Trump administration’s handling of the COVID-19 business. Obama’s claim then, and has been ever since, that the Trump administration has been encouraging Americans to do “what feels good, what’s convenient, what’s easy” rather than imposing a draconian nationwide lockdown. In fall 2014, however, it was Obama who was scolding...

A councilor for Los Angeles who voted to slash $150 million from the annual budget of the LAPD has called the police to his house eight times since April, it has been claimed. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s recent health problems have revealed a rift among Senate Republicans over what to do if a Supreme Court seat becomes vacant before the end of President Trump’s first term. While Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) has indicated his intent to fill any Supreme Court vacancies in 2020, other Republicans are more hesitant. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R., Alaska), expressed concern that confirming a Trump nominee before the end of the president’s term would create a “double standard” after Republicans in 2016 declined to appoint then-President Obama’s nominee Merrick Garland to fill the seat vacated by...

[Barf Alert] Pope: Don’t Criticize Leaders 'No one complained about Herod’s evil' VATICAN CITY (ChurchMilitant.com) - Pope Francis, a relentless critic of populist leaders, has cautioned Catholics not to criticize secular and spiritual leaders as even during the apostolic period "no one complained about Herod's evil and his persecution." "No one abused Herod — and we are so accustomed to abuse those who are in charge," the pontiff preached in his Monday homily for the solemnity of St. Peter and St. Paul — a feast marked as a secular holiday in Rome. 2017 posters in Rome criticizing Francis' heavy-headedness "It is pointless, even...

[Catholic Caucus] Pope Francis belittles as ‘adolescent’ priests who defied COVID lockdowns to give faithful sacraments VATICAN CITY, June 25, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — Pope Francis has indicated that he was not impressed with priests who violated coronavirus lockdown rules to minister to the laity. In a speech he delivered Saturday to primarily bishops, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers from the Italian region of Lombardy, Pope Francis contrasted priests who violated the ban on public worship with priests who ministered to their flock in “creative” ways, like buying their shopping. “The pastoral zeal and creative solicitude of priests helped people...

(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) opened a letter to her Democratic colleagues yesterday by quoting Isaiah 2:12 and Isaiah 10:1-2 in an apparent reference to corrupt police officers and Trump administration. “As Isaiah says, ‘For the Lord will have a day of reckoning… Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed,’” Pelosi said. “A reckoning is here for justice in policing, and I commend Chair Karen Bass and the Congressional Black Caucus on their important leadership in presenting the George...

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy indicated Monday that he has no plans to enforce social distancing rules on large groups gathering for anti-racism protests even as non-essential businesses are allowed to reopen only in phases and other large groups are prohibited. “I can’t imagine what it would look like if we said to people, ‘Actually, you have to stay in. You have to ignore systemic racism — I’m sorry, just ignore it. Stay in,’” the governor said during his daily coronavirus briefing. I can’t imagine what that looks like as it relates to public safety

hen I was an executive in the National Football League a few years ago, our organization was consumed by the case of Colin Kaepernick, the quarterback whose silent kneeling protest against police brutality arguably led him to lose his NFL career and not be re-signed by any club. No teams wanted to sign a player -- even one as talented as Kaepernick -- whom they saw as controversial, and, therefore, bad for business.

U.S. District Judge John McConnell is an unabashed liberal, big donor to the Democratic Party, and a longtime friend of Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, a far-left Democrat from the judge’s home state of Rhode Island. McConnell owes his job to Whitehouse, who asked President Barack Obama to nominate him to become a federal judge. A recent CQ Roll Call investigation showed that McConnell gave about $500,000 to Democratic political committees before becoming a judge – more than any other judge nominated by Presidents Obama or Trump. Why should you care? Because McConnell sits on the Committee on Codes of Conduct of...
