An ugly scene broke out among Phillies fans on Wednesday during the team’s 5-0 loss to the Astros in Game 4 of the World Series. In footage shared online, multiple fans clad in Phillies gear can be seen getting physical with one another in the restroom of Xfinity Live!, a Philadelphia bar located near Citizens Bank Park. While two individuals wrestle on the floor in the clip, a trio of fans scuffles near the stalls, pulling one another’s hair. A spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police Department told TMZ on Thursday that the authorities were not contacted nor dispatched in regard...

Fights broke out among rival gang members on Carson Beach in South Boston yesterday and spilled out across the city, triggering a massive law enforcement response from at least five agencies to stem the violence. Police said the gang members are part of a group of more than 1,000 youths who have used social media sites like Facebook to plan unruly gatherings on the beach on three of the past four nights. The beach falls under the jurisdiction of the State Police, who have been unable to prevent the violence. The response yesterday resembled crowd-control tactics reserved for major sporting...

Sarah Palin unleashed a withering critique of congressional Republicans Saturday, lambasting them for not cutting spending deeper and faster, and saying the party needs to “fight like a girl.” "We didn’t elect you just to rearrange the deck chairs on a sinking Titanic," Palin said during a rally in front of the Wisconsin statehouse in Madison. "What we need from you, GOP, is to fight." Pointing to the national champion University of Wisconsin women's hockey team, Palin said the GOP could learn from its resolve and “needs to learn how to fight like a girl."

A new and unusually entertaining skirmish from the blossoming Democratic civil war. Don’t be shocked by this: Matthews’s history with the online left is as long and bitter as his history with the right, although I am a bit surprised that he’d take it quite this far. Remember, the modern-day Murrow made an uber-nutrootsy empty threat just last night to go to prison rather than buy ObamaCare insurance. Are we to assume from this that Chris sees Olby in the same light as he does grassroots progressives? (Keith is, after all, a contributor to Daily Kos.) If not, why not?...

McCain has a strong woman? Well, the Obama campaign wants voters to know they’ve got one, too, and they’re going to deploy her to crush the moose hunting hockey mom from Alaska. In a strange twist of logic, the Obama campaign is touting the woman they passed over as the woman they need to beat the woman the other guy picked.

Dateline USA.... Media matters. NBC/MSNBC TV news sources say veteran, professional commentators and journalists--most notably, Chris Matthews and Andrea Mitchell--are appalled by the network's amateurish, biased coverage of the Democratic National Convention. Industry insiders say Matthews is incensed by Keith Olbermann's commentary, which amounts to little more than a nightly adulation of Barack Obama. Only two days into the event, the obnoxious, out-of-control Olbermann, one of the most outrageous and arrogant personalities to ever make it in TV news, has insulted and over-talked his colleagues to an alarming degree. At one point in Tuesday night's coverage, the totally bald, toupee-topped...

MSNBC's team at the Democratic National Convention needs to get more sleep and maybe also one of those massages that Arianna Huffington is giving out. The cable network's anchors are sniping at one another tonight, just like they did last night. About 20 minutes ago, ahead of Hillary Clinton's speech, Chris Matthews was talking about how some women feel disenfranchised within the party. It's a touchy subject for Matthews, who has been accused of sexist commentary against Clinton, and he did not appreciate a producer telling him to wrap up his ramble. He also didn't appreciate his sometime rival Keith...

Media Matters has been a key player in the campaign against ABC's new docudrama, "The Path to 9/11." Today the left-wing organization added a new component to that campaign by focusing on a discussion guide released by ABC and Scholastic. Questions about the docudrama aside, a review of the discussion guide reveals absolutely nothing objectionable, and certainly nothing false or inaccurate. Today on Tucker, Tucker Carlson interviewed Media Matters President David Brock and shredded every one of his complaints:Meanwhile, the LA Times reports that ABC has "toned down" a controversial scene, and according to the AP, ABC said that "the...
