    Ford in the US has released its long awaited replacement for the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. The car, which is based on the current Taurus platform, promises to be more powerful and efficient than the outgoing V8 Crown Victoria. There will be two V6 motors available — a 196kw standard version and a 272kw twin-turbo version for highway patrol cars. The car will have heavy-duty curtain airbags and a body reinforced to withstand a 120km/h rear-end hit and keep going.
