Here in eastern central Mississippi, the common house fly is the talk of the community. Fly paper is getting hard to buy, and plastic zip-lock bags full of water tacked to trees close to the doors of the houses, are seen everywhere. Maybe it's the wet season and the temperatures above freezing that have allowed the woods to bloom with house flies, because they're everywhere.
