Paris (France) (AFP) - Air France and Lufthansa said Saturday they will stop flying over Egypt's Sinai peninsula after a Russian passenger plane went down in the area with the loss of all 224 people on board. The airlines said they were taking the measure as a precaution while the cause of the Russian crash was investigated. The Islamic State (IS) group affiliate in Egypt has said it downed the plane, without saying how, but Russia's transport minister said the claim "cannot be considered accurate" and an Egyptian security official said the plane did not crash because of an attack....

Islamic State claim 'not accurate' - Russia Russia’s transport minister Maksim Sokolov has said that the claim Islamic State militants brought down the plane “can’t be considered accurateâ€. Shadi Bushra, reporting for the Guardian in Cairo, has also spoken to Mohamed Samir, Egypt’s army spokesman, who also refuted the claim. They can put out whatever statements they want but there is no proof at this point that terrorists were responsible for this plane crash. We will know the true reasons when the civil aviation authority in coordination with Russian authorities completes its investigation. But the army sees no authenticity to...

An Iranian-supported Shiite militia that operates under the the Iraqi government-sanctioned Popular Mobilization Committee said that Saudi Arabia is “a legitimate and permissible target†and would it “strike and destroy†the country after the kingdom issued a death sentence for a cleric that has called for partition. The militia, Sayyid al Shuhada, is led by a Specially Designated Global Terrorist who is directly tied to Iran’s Qods Force. Sayyid al Shuhada threatened the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Oct. 26, the same day that the Saudi Supreme Court upheld a death sentence for Sheikh Nimr al Nimr, a prominent Shiite...

John Kerry just offered up such a load of horse manure that he outdid even the most outrageous of dhimmi fools (and there are a lot to choose from). Writing for Front Page Magazine, Daniel Greenfield reports on a tweet Kerry sent out on Thursday that read: "The Middle East today is the home of populations that are energetic, youthful, forward-looking. It is in them that we place our faith." Seriously? Yes, the secretary of state – a professional fool – is serious. But Kerry wasn’t finished. He had more to say. And he said it (again, pathetically, using Twitter):...

RUSH: Now, Syria. Let me see if I can make sense of this for you. 'Cause what's happening in Syria, based on what we learned yesterday about Putin -- and what he said to the UN about us abandoning our role, our moral leadership there -- as best I have been able to assemble this, here is what's happening. Over the past few weeks we have learned that Russia is sending military planes and soldiers to Syria. We didn't like it. When asked about it by the United States, Russia said, "Mind your own business; it's none of your business....

Last week, the Obama White House moved to ensure Hezbollah’s ability to point 100,000 missiles at Israel. That’s not how they would describe it, of course. But it was the Obama administration—as U.S. officials are quietly letting on—and not Russia that invited Iran to participate in talks in Vienna to resolve the Syrian civil war. By doing so, the White House legitimized the Islamic Republic as a “stakeholder†whose interests in Syria must be respected. But of course, Iran has only one interest in Syria, which is to protect its ally, Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, whose regime facilitates the transfer...

This is a moment from Trumps appearance in Nevada yesterday. Trump says: So many friends in Israel, they dont know what happened. They have a president who… They think Obama hates Israel. I think he does. He then goes on to criticize the Iran deal. The people on CNN seem dumbfounded by this declaration but once again, Trump is saying something that is true which no one else will acknowledge. Why is it difficult to believe that Obama does not like Israel? He sat in Jeremiah Wrights anti Semitic church for years, hes been repeatedly disrespectful to Israeli prime minister...

Saudi Arabia has said Iran must accept the removal of President Bashar al-Assad as part of any solution to the conflict in Syria. Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir made the remarks as talks among international foreign ministers on the crisis get under way in Vienna. Iran is for the first time taking part in such talks, which will also include Russia and Turkey. Russia and Iran both support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The Democratic Party no longer supports the State of Israel, according to the leader of an influential conservative Jewish group. “A lot of people believe what I’m going to say, and unfortunately no one has had the courage to say it,†says Matthew Brooks, the executive director of the Republican Jewish Coalition. “We as a Jewish community have to take a long, hard step back and acknowledge the reality … that today there is one pro-Israel party and that is the Republican Party.†Las Vegas casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson is the major financial sponsor of the RJC, and the group’s...

Pope Francis marked the 50th anniversary of the turning point in the Catholic Church’s relations with Jews on Wednesday with a sharp condemnation of anti-Semitism, saying attacks on Israel’s right to exist were a form of hatred. “To attack Jews is anti-Semitism, but an outright attack on the State of Israel is also anti-Semitism,†Francis told a delegation from the World Jewish Congress (WJC). “There may be political disagreements between governments and on political issues, but the State of Israel has every right to exist in safety and prosperity.â€

Repudiating the first mufti’s hostility to decency is the only way forward Palestinians are on the wrong track and will not get off it until the outside world demands better of them. News comes every year or two of a campaign of violence spurred by Palestinian political and religious leaders spreading wild-eyed conspiracy theories (the favorite: al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem is under threat). A spasm of unprovoked violence against Israelis then follows: rocket attacks from Gaza, car-rammings in Israel proper, stone-throwing in the West Bank, street stabbings in Jerusalem. Eventually, the paroxysm peters out, only to start up again not...

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) is one of the most experienced and capable air forces in the world, with roughly 400 American-made F-16 and F-15 fighters in its inventory. For the most part, this force resembles a smaller version of the U.S. Air Force (USAF) “legacy” fighter fleet – fourth generation aircraft originally developed during the 1970s. Like the USAF, however, many of these aircraft are three decades old and nearing the end of their service life. snip If the F-35 cannot hold its own against fourth-generation fighters, which are increasingly equipped with infrared sensors that can detect stealth aircraft,...

Embarrassingly, some Western media are parroting unverified narratives regarding Russian warplanes "intentionally" attacking medical facilities in Syria, Bangkok-based geopolitical researcher Tony Cartalucci underscores, adding that the allegations have no credible evidence underpinning them. Some Western media outlets have no scruples about citing unverified information regarding Russia's military operation in Syria spread by US-backed NGOs such as the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights or the Syrian-American Medical Society (SAMS), Bangkok-based geopolitical researcher Tony Cartalucci stresses. Cartalucci narrated that on October 21, AFP media broke the news about an alleged Russian strike against a "field hospital" in northwestern Syria that resulted in...

The top propaganda tactics the administration is using to demonize the Jewish State. Obama Tells Falsehoods About Israel, Retracts, Then Repeats Falsehoods The top propaganda tactics the administration is using to demonize the Jewish State. October 26, 2015 Morton A. Klein and Daniel Mandel After weeks of murderous Palestinian stabbing attacks upon innocent Israelis, how has the Obama Administration responded? Although Israel has been killing or apprehending knife-wielding terrorists, while Mahmoud Abbas’ Palestinian Authority (PA) has been inciting and glorifying their acts of murder, the Administration presents both sides as morally equivalent, while insinuating or even asserting Israeli responsibility. Obama officials have been...

Syrian rebels loyal to the Al Qaeda terror organization, released the second edition of its English-language magazine, “Al Risalah,” Sunday. The rebels, who identify with the Nusra Front (NF), Al Qaeda’s local branch, leaked the magazine onto the social media sphere using the group’s official Twitter account, which has still not been removed. The cover of the magazine reads, “Victory loves preparation,” and shows a jihadi wearing army gear with his face covered, holding two guns. Contents of the magazine include an interview with an Australian jihadi, ads for shotguns, a call to join the Nusra Front instead of the...
