DETROIT, MI—General Motors is making waves after a surprise unveiling of a line of exciting new California-compliant vehicles. After a week of building anticipation, officials at the company revealed its latest innovation for the West Coast: the 2021 Horse And Buggy. The curiosity started last week when GM's Twitter account dropped a cryptic photo of a lone carrot with the phrase "It's coming." Finally, at a live event this week, officials at the company pulled the cover off a stylish, elegant carriage pulled by a powerful single horse. "We had to re-think everything," said lead designer Abraham Moses Jehoshaphat from...

As the Jussie Smollett case boiled over last year, Judge Michael Toomin appointed a special prosecutor to look at how Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx and her office handled the controversial case, saying it had been botched. On Monday, the Cook County Democratic Party, which is chaired by Foxx ally Toni Preckwinkle, took the relatively rare step of voting not to endorse Toomin for retention on the Nov. 3 ballot. The move set off a political firestorm. Toomin called it “retaliation.” Mayor Lori Lightfoot said it sure looked like payback. But the Democratic leaders who dumped Toomin pointed to...

EXCLUSIVE: A network of left-wing groups with budgets eclipsing those of conservative powerhouses like the Heritage Foundation will likely “carpet bomb” the 2020 election with anonymous dark money, a new report obtained by Fox News warns. "If 2018 is any indicator, we should expect to see the Left carpet-bomb the 2020 presidential election with buckets of anonymous cash, while complaining about the evils of ‘dark money’ the entire time,” the report from conservative watchdog Capital Research Center says. snip

Trump also stated that his supporters are good people who “can’t believe” the violence they see in some American cities. Host Laura Ingraham asked, [relevant exchange begins around 5:00] “[D]o you want your supporters to confront the left-wing protesters, or do you want to leave it to law enforcement?” Trump responded, “No. No, I don’t want them. I want to leave...

Progressive groups are urging TV networks to delay airing parts of the GOP convention until they are able to fact-check the claims made by speakers. “The best way to combat the spread of disinformation is to stop it at its source. By putting the Republican National Convention on a one-minute time delay, your network will be able to actively correct disinformation in real time, and prevent the American people from being lied to on your airwaves,” read the letter dated Monday, signed by nine progressive groups, including an EMILY’s List PAC and Color of Change PAC. “The future of our...

There is no dancing allowed in New York’s bars and restaurants, even at a wedding reception, according to the New York State Liquor Authority. To control the spread of the coronavirus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s liquor authority has also specifically banned darts, pool, cornhole, karaoke and exotic dancing. Somehow, a place that allows customers to throw axes and drink beer is reopening Friday. There was no word from the liquor authority on how that fits in to safety protocols. No kidding. Cuomo has also banned comedy shows. The intent is to reduce the number of people congregating in bars. If you...

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Friday reaffirmed his commitment to electing Joe Biden president, but said the Democratic nominee’s victory in November would be followed by a “serious debate” about the direction of the country. “We’re going to come together to defeat Trump,” Sanders told "The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah on Friday. “And the day after Biden is elected, we’re going to have a serious debate about the future of this country, but it will be done within the framework of a democratic society.” The Vermont senator’s remarks presage a coming push by progressives to wield more influence in...

'm not going to say that what we've been experiencing over the last three months have been the first salvos of a civil war, but it sure looks like it. While hard-line socialists in the Democratic Party are working within the political infrastructure and behaving as though they are conducting the business of governance according to the rule of law and constitutionally established procedures, they are in fact in the process of fomenting civil war – or at least, they have made it apparent that they are willing to go that far if they are not able to gain ascendency...

There was a fascinating interview with Soviet KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov in 1984 in which he foretold in unerring detail the exact social and political scenarios that would exist in America in the near future. His contention was that the KGB was involved primarily not in espionage, but in an activity that he called "ideological subversion." * * * President Reagan understood the [Soviet/communist] threat to a greater degree than any post–World War II president before him. Reagan's military build-up and tough foreign policy did, in fact, force the Soviets to change their behavior, and those policies led to the...

“Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f--k things up,” one Democrat who spoke to the former president recalled him sayingDespite the best-friend bond Joe Biden touts with former President Obama, tensions have lingered between the two statesmen over their vastly different governing styles, according to a Politico report. To start, a number of anonymously sourced quotes from Obama leaked out throughout the 2020 Biden campaign where the former president allegedly expressed doubts about his former running mates’ fitness for office. , “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f--k things up,” one Democrat who spoke to the former president recalled him saying. Who exactly benefitted from American removal of Saddam’s Sunnis in Iraq? Exactly 30 years ago, Iraq’s dictator Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait and created a set of consequences that are with us today, including sectarianism, terrorism, and Iranian militancy. The Bush presidencies made a number of historical mistakes in dealing with Iraq and Iran. Iran, as a result, reaped the rewards of Saddam Hussein’s cruelty and greed, and American errors. The George H. W. Bush administration, for its part, was given a mandate by the United Nations to undo Saddam’s aggression in Kuwait. It should have been used to eliminate Saddam Hussein alone. At...

Andrew Cuomo's got a load of nerve. Imagine being one of the relatives of the thousands of elderly nursing home residents who died as a result of their residences becoming sealed incumbators for COVID, which Andrew Cuomo literally ordered. These people were banned from visits from their own families for their own 'safety' they said. Yet it was Potemkin stuff, they had no protection from COVID, as they had to breathe the air of coughing, infected patients all around them, with absolutely no way to get away from it. Once they got it, they died alone. It's the biggest scandal...

A Gallup poll released on Wednesday shows that 81 percent of black Americans want the police presence to remain the same or increase in their neighborhood or area. According to the poll, “67 percent of all U.S. adults” also prefer the “status quo” when it comes to local police presence. “Most Black Americans want the police to spend at least as much time in their area as they currently do, indicating that they value the need for the service that police provide,” the poll concludes. Eighty-three percent of Hispanic Americans and 88 percent of white Americans share similar attitudes. In...

President Trump, scratching back to just 4-6 points behind challenger Joe Biden, is being bolstered by new polls showing a surge in his approval rating and a widening “enthusiasm gap” favoring him over his Democratic foe. Just out is the daily Rasmussen Reports presidential approval rating for Trump at 51%. Notably, said Rasmussen, at this stage of his presidency, former President Barack Obama had a 44% approval rating. Add to that new polling from Economist/YouGov that shows the president’s supporters far more enthusiastic about him, and voting for him, than those of Biden’s.

The tragically incompetent mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, appeared on CNN's "State of the Union" this weekend to deflect attention from the horror show unfolding in her city by blaming interlopers for its spiking murder rate: "We are being inundated with guns from states that have virtually no gun control, no background checks, no ban on assault weapons -- that is hurting cities like Chicago." Although these accusations have leveled by Chicago politicians for decades now, they are a myth. For one thing, there is no state in the nation with "virtually no gun control" or "no background checks." Every...

Dr. Harvey Risch, a noted Yale epidemiologist, has accused White House coronavirus task force member Dr. Anthony Fauci of waging a "misinformation campaign" against the drug hydroxychloroquine, claiming the medication has shown consistently encouraging results in treating COVID-19 when used properly. Hydroxychloroquine has been at the center of a protracted political debate since March, when President Trump cited the drug as a promising possible treatment for the novel coronavirus. HCQ has long been used by doctors to treat malaria along with other syndromes such as arthritis and lupus. The World Health Organization lists it as an essential medicine, while nearly...

By this point, we’ve sadly grown used to stories about some motorist who finds themself trapped in the middle of a street that’s been shut down by a Black Lives Matter protest. When rioters begin to menace them, the frightened driver punches the gas and begins knocking down or running over demonstrators in an effort to flee for their lives. A similar – and yet very different – scene played out this weekend in the tiny town of Eaton, Colorado (population 4,365), located well to the north of Denver. But the details of the vehicular assault mark it as an...
