(@brithume The author of this nonsense is a professor at the highly regarded Northwestern University.) In the early days of the pandemic, did you ever fantasize what we’d do when people could go outside again and gather together? Did you dream of a better, “post-pandemic” America? One with more hugs, more mutual care and concern for our fellow humans, having all gone through (in differing and unequal ways, but still having shared) a harrowing common experience? People are going out again, all over the United States. But it’s not to celebrate a vaccine or a debt jubilee. The first national...

As riots take hold of major cities across the nation, Democrats have brought out the usual suspects in an effort to lay blame for the chaos and destruction. The massive protests were initially peaceful as people rallied over the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died in police custody after Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck. Chauvin was later fired — along with the three other officers in the viral video of Floyd’s arrest — and he was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. But as the protests turned violent and rioters began to...

Mayor Bill de Blasio on Sunday blamed a new breed of highly organized anarchist hell-bent on violence for violent protests that have rocked the city. “We’re seeing something new, and not just here in New York City, but all over the country,” Hizzoner said of the violence. The “x-factor,” he said, were groups who were “not just protesters but people who came to do violence in a systematic, organized fashion.” He called the “small” number of people “well-organized” and linked to “the anarchist movement,” rather than really mourning George Floyd’s death. “They plan together online, they have very explicit rules,”...

Steve Carell, Seth Rogen, Janelle Monáe and Don Cheadle were among the stars that donated to the organization, sharing the link on Twitter. Kehlani and Noname also posted their donations, each giving $1,000. Actress Jameela Jamil posted a screenshot of her $1,000 donation along with a message for other celebrities with means to do the same. “Celebrity accounts that follow me please match and pass it on,” she wrote.

The nightly democrat riots are starting sea to smoking sea.

These riots (not protests) spreading across the country, are fueled by Soros money and Antifa people. The violence is getting so broad spread that even dems are getting nervous about the backlash and trying to paint the protests as being directed by white supremacist right wingers and Trump supporters. Black ‘leaders’ are starting to disavow the protesters due to the backlash. A perfect time for President Trump to declare Antifa a domestic terrorist group and any leftist or democrat that disagrees will have to explain why they shouldn’t be designated so and instead say it is simply the fault of...

WASHINGTON — An internal investigation by the C.I.A. has found that its officers penetrated a computer network used by the Senate Intelligence Committee in preparing its damning report on the C.I.A.’s detention and interrogation program. The report by the agency’s inspector general also found that C.I.A. officers read the emails of the Senate investigators and sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department based on false information, according to a summary of findings made public on Thursday. One official with knowledge of the report’s conclusions said the investigation also discovered that the officers created a false online identity to gain...

Earlier this week, Atlantic magazine – fast becoming the favored media outlet for self-styled intellectual elites of the Aspen Institute type – ran an in-depth article of the problems free speech poses to American society in the coronavirus era. The headline: Internet Speech Will Never Go Back to Normal In the debate over freedom versus control of the global network, China was largely correct, and the U.S. was wrong. Authored by a pair of law professors from Harvard and the University of Arizona, Jack Goldsmith and Andrew Keane Woods, the piece argued that the American and Chinese approaches to monitoring...

A bombshell report claims Chinese President Xi Jinping personally asked World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom to 'delay a global warning' about the threat of COVID-19 during a conversation back in January. Germany's Der Spiegel published the allegations this weekend, citing intelligence from the country's Federal Intelligence Service, known as the 'Bundesnachrichtendienst' (BND). According to the BND: 'On January 21, China's leader Xi Jinping asked WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to hold back information about a human-to-human transmission and to delay a pandemic warning. 'The BND estimates that China's information policy lost four to six weeks to fight the virus...

Every year May Day is used to mark many things - from the coming of spring in the Northern Hemisphere to the fight for workers' rights. This year many rallies have been scaled back because of coronavirus lockdowns, although some have taken place on the streets and online. Here are some of the events that have marked the day.

Former WWE star Jesse Ventura has admitted he is considering jumping in the ring with a wildcard presidential run — only days after bashing rumors about it. “OK, I’ve decided I’m going to test the waters. IF I were going to run for president, the GREEN party would be my first choice,” the 68-year-old wrestler-turned-Minnesota governor tweeted Monday. “To be clear: I haven’t filed anything. I authorized a letter of interest that was sent on my behalf to the Greens and I’m testing the waters for Green Party nomination,” he said. “I’m an independent. I’m not a Democrat or a...

BEIJING (Xinhua) -- China Monday expressed strong opposition to embroiling China in U.S. electoral politics, in response to a memo exposed by news outlet Politico that urged U.S. Republican candidates to address the COVID-19 crisis by aggressively attacking China. The 57-page strategy document, obtained by Politico last Friday, is focused on three main lines of assault: That China caused the virus "by covering it up," that Democrats are "soft on China," and that Republicans will "push for sanctions on China for its role in spreading this pandemic," Politico summarized. "Why have some political forces in the United States spared no...

Critics of the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) expressed anger over Saturday’s star-studded “One World” benefit concert held to raise funds for the U.N. body after President Donald Trump pulled funding for the organization over its connections to the Chinese communist regime. The “One World” concert, led by the W.H.O. and non-profit group Global Citizen, was broadcast across multiple television channels in the U.S. and around the world on Saturday, with the aim of raising money for the W.H.O.’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

Contrary to the narrative that is being pushed by the mainstream that the COVID 19 virus was the result of a natural mutation and that it was transmitted to humans from bats via pangolins, Dr Luc Montagnier the man who discovered the HIV virus back in 1983 disagrees and is saying that the virus was man made. Dr Luc Montagnier Image Courtesy of Prolineserver Professor Luc Montagnier, 2008 Nobel Prize winner for Medicine, claims that SARS-CoV-2 is a manipulated virus that was accidentally released from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. Chinese researchers are said to have used coronaviruses in their...

President Trump made precisely the right call in suspending U.S. funding to the World Health Organization, pending a review of its role in "severely mismanaging and covering up the coronavirus." Trump is doing an important service not only to America, but to the world, with his demands that the WHO clean up its abysmal and misleading act, and stop kowtowing to China. But here comes the chorus of alarms that this particular moment, in the midst of the worst pandemic since 1918, is not the time to interrupt the WHO's annual intake of roughly $500 million from U.S. taxpayers. Bill...

Facing global scrutiny and the potential loss of hundreds of millions in funding from the United States, the embattled leader of the World Health Organization said Wednesday his performance in combatting the coronavirus pandemic will be assessed “in due course.” Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Ethiopian politician who has led the United Nations-backed health body as director-general since July 2017, added he intends to “learn” from the outbreak that as of early Thursday had sickened more than 2 million people worldwide and killed more than 130,000. Speaking to reporters in Geneva, Tedros said he would be subjected to a public inquiry...

World Health Organization Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus expressed dissatisfaction with President Donald Trump’s decision to halt U.S. funds for the organization for failing to adequately warn about the Chinese coronavirus outbreak. “We regret the decision of the president of the United States to order a halt in funding,” Adhanom said in a Wednesday press briefing, adding that the United Nations-back body will partner with others to fill gaps in funding to “ensure our work continues uninterrupted.”

Bill Gates has said Donald Trump's decision to stop US funding of the World Health Organisation "during a world health crisis" is as "dangerous as it sounds". The Microsoft founder tweeted:"Their work is slowing the spread of COVID-19 and if that work is stopped no other organization can replace them. The world needs @WHO now more than ever."
