<p>TAIPEI, Taiwan (CNN) -- Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian says he won't be swayed from plans to hold a controversial referendum on China's missile threat despite a stinging rebuke from the U.S. president.</p> <p>George W. Bush on Tuesday warned Taipei against holding a referendum that could antagonize China, saying he wanted to maintain the status quo between the two rivals.</p>

The Engineering battalion "Mahatz" held an exercise this week in the Golan Heights. During the exercise the soldiers practiced obstacle breaching and mine clearance. The Israeli Navy took part in a special cruise off the coast of Israel, spending time with children who have been affected by cancer. The IDF Chief of Staff (heighest position in the IDF) visited a paratroopers training base, and told the soldiers about his experiences in the division.
