I saw a Gardasil ad on tv last night and it said thousands of woman are diagnosed with cervical cancer every year. This is true, and it's even more than 10,000. How is that a lie?

About 4,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer per year.

Ergo, using basic math, if women used this vaccine, over 65% of these cases of cancer could be prevented.

Your math is whacked. Gardasil purportedly works on about 3 to 6 of the 40+ HPV viruses out there (how long and how effectively is UNKNOWN)...By age 50, 80% of American women have had some form of HPV - Let's say that around 100 million of which 4,000 contract cervical cancer! And 100% of those cancers could have been successfully treated if found with early detection (Pap)

Three children DIED within hours of receiving the Gardasil vaccine - they didn't have even have the fighting chance that women with Stage 4 cancer have; - 1,700 have had adverse reaction to it - they didn't have a chance...

No one knows the long-term effects of Gardasil. We do know that Merck has a history of lying and covering up. They continued producing and dispensing VIOXX for four years after it was unequivocally proven to increase heart attack and stroke among those taking it. "Merck continues to claim that it did not ignore early warnings about a cardiovascular problem with Vioxx, that there were no studies to prove the case. There were no studies because Merck did not do the kind of research that could have answered questions about cardiovascular risk -- not until the problem became too controversial to ignore." (NJ Star Ledger 11-14-07)

According to the Wall Street Journal, Merck stands to make 65% pure profit on Gardasil ($180/child net), which will go a long way to bail them out for the $10 billion (so far) in damages they are paying out on Vioxx claims.

Your child has a better chance of being struck by lightning than contracting cervical cancer - The odds that she'll develop some horrible cancer or become sterile or die of complications from this drug are as yet UNKNOWN - DES daughters and thalidamide babies ring a bell?...Parents need to stand up for and protect their daughters against Merck's scurrilous profit-driven agenda.

So how much Merck stock do you own?
