Life comes at you fast in the Trump administration. A day after warning Syria, Russia, and the world that missiles "will be coming," President Trump clarified Thursday that he didn't say when. "Could be very soon or not so soon at all!" And this was only a week after the president said he wanted to pull U.S. troops out of Syria completely. Amidst all this chaos, however, one thing remains a constant: Despite electing an "America First" president who has at least episodically expressed skepticism of foreign interventionism, it is awfully hard to press antiwar arguments in the Donald's Washington.

Canada’s military will not take part in action against the Syrian regime, according to comments made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could remove Bashar Assad from power, unify Syria, keep ISIS and al-Qaeda out, and tame Iranian influence in the region? It sure would. But this is the real world, and the LAST thing we should do is continue our involvement in another Mideast disaster.

Perhaps we have missed something: Like the possibility that the canyons of Wall Street are actually located on another planet several light years from earth! Otherwise, how can you explain the equipoise of a stock market sitting at the tippy-top of a nine-year bubble expansion and confronted with the potential outbreak of World War Three? Folks, like some alien abductors, the Deep State has taken the Donald hostage, and with ball-and-chain finality. Whatever pre-election predilection he had to challenge the Warfare State has apparently been completely liquidated.

A pre-war era My feeling that we are in a pre-war era, and are being prepared for that war almost every day, grows. I am not feeling especially well at the moment, and my days are tinged with a certain darkness anyway, despite the arrival of spring, but I cannot at any point in my life ever recall being gripped by such a feeling of impending, unavoidable disaster. It began early on Sunday morning with claims of a gas attack in the suburbs of Damascus. Although the BBC were careful to state that the reports were unverified, my heart sank....

Last night Tucker Carlson questioned whether the Assad regime was actually responsible for the recent Syria chemical attack, stunning a lot of people, but Carlson stood by it tonight and told viewers people want them to just “shut up.”
-
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson’s opening monologue Monday night warned the U.S. against intervention in Syria. The Daily Caller co-founder noted that there has still been no proof that Bashar al-Assad was behind the chemical attacks against the Syrian people, explaining that such attacks would be counterproductive to Assad because the U.S. was planning to pull troops from Syria.

If the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election is, as President Trump would have it, the “single greatest Witch Hunt in American history,” it is also a witch hunt that is turning up an awful lot of alleged and confessed witches. As of writing, special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has filed scores of charges against 19 people, five of whom have pleaded guilty to at least one criminal count.

Special counsel Robert Mueller's team has looked into the work of a consulting firm that's done business with the United Arab Emirates, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday. That could suggest that Mueller's probe is "looking more deeply at foreign influence in Washington" — beyond Russia's interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, according to the report.

President Donald Trump vented at his Justice Department, his Cabinet members and his former political opponents in searing remarks Monday evening.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal agents on Monday raided the office of President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen, seizing records on topics including a $130,000 payment made to porn actress Stormy Daniels. A furious Trump, who in the last month has escalated his attacks on Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, said from the White House that it was a “disgrace” that the FBI “broke into” his lawyer’s office. He called Mueller’s investigation “an attack on our country,” prompting new speculation that he might seek the removal of the Justice Department’s special counsel

President Donald Trump on Monday touted Sinclair Broadcast Group, which owns more than a dozen NBC news affiliates, as being "far superior to CNN and even more Fake NBC."

President Donald Trump and wife Melania Trump are facing the public together — and hand-in-hand — one week after Stormy Daniels’ bombshell 60 Minutes interview. In their first public outing together since the interview aired, the first couple was seen holding hands on Sunday as they walked into Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal church in Palm Beach, Florida, for an Easter service, according to a White House press pool report. The president and his wife were also joined at the church by Trump’s younger daughter, Tiffany Trump, who flew into Palm Beach with her father on Thursday.

Last week saw one of the noblest acts of human courage in modern times. Yet it has been given far less attention than it should have been.We often hear it said of soldiers and others that they ‘gave their lives’ in battle. This is true in a way, though many actual soldiers will smile at the expression and mutter that they probably did not have much choice in the matter. But the French police of ficer, Arnaud Beltrame, consciously and deliberately did give his life to save another. When the drug abuser, petty crook and jailbird Redouane Lakdim burst into...

Congressional negotiators neared agreement on a $1.3 trillion spending bill today (March 21) that undercuts President Donald Trump’s $25 billion request for a wall along the Mexican border and spurns the administration’s request for increased funding for immigrant detention facilities and additional border patrol agents.
-
President Donald Trump lost — bigly — when Congress voted for a $1.3 trillion spending bill that repudiates many of his top policy goals and much of his rhetoric. He didn't get the money he wanted for a wall on the U.S. border with Mexico or a provision cutting off federal funds for "sanctuary cities." Lawmakers not only ignored his fiscal 2018 budget's elimination of scores of federal programs, they increased spending for many of those on his target list. And Congress provided seed cash for a New York-New Jersey tunnel project that Trump tried to kill.

Billy Graham and Johnny Cash were quite close during the 1970s. He, wife June Carter Cash and a couple sidemen, appeared on some of Graham's crusades into the 1990's. Cash also invited Graham to guest on a 1971 Gospel-flavored episode of his 1969-1971 Johnny Cash Show on ABC. It's worth noting ABC, like all major TV networks, feared any potential controversies. Cash gave executives plenty to worry about. They weren't happy in 1970 when he refused to change the line "Lordy wishin' I was stoned" singing his hit version of Kris Kristofferson's "Sunday Morning Comin' Down." Likewise, Cash's on-air testimonies...

In heated interview with MSNBC’s Katy Tur, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) defended the position that the Mueller investigation should be ended, and responded to the statement from fellow Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy (S.C.) about President Donald Trump not acting guilty.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) on Sunday criticized President Trump’s attorney for calling for an end to special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible ties between Trump's campaign and Moscow.
