Yes, that’s true, but it’s also true to say the Nobel prizes and IKEA are strongly connected to both Norway and Sweden.
Of the 5 Nobel prizes, I think 4 of them are judged and presented in Sweden.
The fifth, the Nobel Peace Prize (aka “The Nobel Prize for Political Interference”), is chosen by a commitee of socialists in Norway and presented in Oslo.
Well I’m from Melbourne and I remember a dust storm just like this, it must have been some time in the 1980’s.
Even though the Guardian would like to paint this as a result of global warming - it isn’t. These dust storms are not so uncommon.
Red dust from inland Australia has also been blown as far away as New Zealand - I’ve seen it on the snow when I flew over the mountains in New Zealand’s South Island.
