  • Obamacare announcement 'causing a lot of confusion,' insurance commissioner says (Montana Dem.)

Adder said, “But in any event, the entire law is a beast that must be killed.”

I agree with you that the law must be killed. That’s why I created the following petition at WhiteHouse.gov.

Please Sign My Petition to President Obama
    Folks,

I wanted to let you know about a new petition I created on We the People, a new feature on WhiteHouse.gov, and ask for your support. Will you add your name to mine and then forward this note to all of your conservative friends? If this petition gets 100,000 signatures by December 15, 2013, the White House will review it and respond!

We the People allows anyone to create and sign petitions asking the Obama Administration to take action on a range of issues. If a petition gets enough support, the Obama Administration will issue an official response.

You can view and sign the petition here:

    http://wh.gov/lBNrH

Here’s some more information about this petition:

Repeal The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA)[Obamacare]!

America Wants and Deserves Affordable, Personal, and Portable Healthcare!

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) [Obamacare] is fundamentally flawed. Trying to fix it is a waste of time and an excuse to continue covering up those basic flaws.

The only FIX for Obamacare is to repeal the entire bill, start over and create an affordable, personal, portable national health care plan.

okie, we won't argue over a fine point like what a REAL Republican is. The way it looks to me though is that within my lifetime a majority within the Republican Party have moved from left center to the right approaching libertarianism. However, the leadership (what I call Country Club Republicans, and sometimes RINOs) have moved even farther to the left. Unfortunately the minority RINOs have a strangle hold on the party (especially the finances) and it looks like it will take dynamite to shake them loose. I am praying that we will be able to accomplish that soon with the influx of more Conservatives.

Hoodat, Wysong is not talking about the budget for this year. The Democrats will do just like they have been doing and ram it down our throats. But next year, if we can get the Republican majority to agree, we could start gaining a little ground EVERY month and maybe even increase our groundswell of support into 2012.

Okie, I couldn't agree with you more. This paragraph from the article addresses what you are saying.

"If Mr. Obama chooses to veto, he must justify shutting down the entire government to save one program. It would not affect all of the nation's entitlement junkies but only a small percentage of them. This puts the relatively few affected in direct conflict with the vast majority who are unaffected and do not want their benefits interrupted."

In this way, instead of a gigantic increase in the debt ceiling we would have a small one but we would also gain something for it. Until we have more change in Washington we will just have to chip away at big government. Hopefully in 2012 we will make even greater gains and can do more to regain control of our once great country.

In the meantime we are making progress.

If we can find some more REAL Republicans between now and then.

    Folks,

Gordon J. Wysong, who has run four manufacturing businesses, served as a commissioner in Cobb County, Ga., during the 1990s when the county achieved the highest credit rating of any local government in America, has written an op-ed that was published in the Washington Times November 17, 2010.

Gordon’s brother, Harvey, had this to say about Gordon’s article.

“My brother Gordon has written an op-ed that was published in the Washington Times today (17 November 2010).

    Link to Article

I believe that this is the only viable strategy yet devised to shrink the Government, shrink Government spending, shrink Government debt, and eliminate worthless Government programs.

Well, that last one is a redundant phrase. Anything that is described as a "government program" is worthless . . . and is not authorized by the Constitution.

Now, if only we can get some Republican Congressmen to employ this strategy . . . . Harvey”

I couldn’t agree more. This is the best plan I have EVER heard for getting the Federal Government out of our faces.

Click on the link above; you need to read the rest of the article. I think it’s a breath of fresh air. Write to your US Congressmen and Senators about this. Then after they have had time to read it, follow up with a phone call to their Washington office asking them to support the “Gordon Wysong Recovery Plan”.

Okay, the first error (the amount of money we’re talking about) was in the article. This one is my misunderstanding. Bryant Arrington is the Editor of Coastal Viewpoint, but the article was a press release not an Editorial.

Looks like we would have some local candidates for the prison. Maybe we could send them to the new one the politicians want in Brunswick.

In the third paragraph there is a misprint. The amount of money the JIA failed to report was a total of $11,330,368, not $11,330,368 million.

Wait a minute here. I thought we couldn't find the illegal aliens to send them home, but we have a good idea about how much they pay in taxes? Maybe we should just follow these ECONOMISTS around and round up the illegals they're counting taxes on.

I just don't go to movies any more.

For one thing I refuse to support an industry that seems determined, over all, to destroy our Great Republic.

BTW the same goes for the TV. Did you ever hear of TV PROGRAMMING? I for one don't want their programming in my house.

"Without doing empirical research using the scientific method, creationism cannot lay claim to any associations with science."

Let me see if I understand you correctly. What you're really saying is that; by doing empirical research using the scientific method, creationism CAN lay claim to an association with science. Did I get that right? I thought for a minute there we were in disagreement.

No I guess you're really saying it is impossible to use empirical research using scientific method to prove creation theory.

My friend, using the worst case scenario we are on equal footing because the same is true of the religion of evolution.

One really can’t claim that evolution theory is “bad” science, since it is not science at all.

Folks, I just got back from Mr. Cain's office, and he was there today so I got to see him personally.

He had just finished playing in the Pro-Am golf tournament and his team came in first. He looks great, his attitude is still tremendous, not a negative bone in his body.

He goes to Houston Monday (4-24-06) to begin his treatment which starts with completely new tests, looking at everything again, then a decision about surgery and chemo.

He said he would probably miss a couple of broadcasts of his talk show on WSB, but may actually begin his show again from his bedroom if possible.

No talk yet about which office he might run for next, but I keep pressuring him every chance I get.

Kudos for Shepherd Center too. These people do a lot of good deeds, and it is one of the best facilities in the world. My wife worked there for a time, and we have nothing but respect for the Shepherd family and the center.
