We’re already divided for sure. Canada and Mexico are not threatening to nuke us though. Russia is threatening to nuke its own neighbor. If they do so, they will be a former security council member and be steamrolled culturally. It’s a losing strategy.
If it weren’t for the loss of Ukrainian lives, I’d kind of hope they go for it to see them further relegated to the history books as the USSR was.
I don’t know about that stuff. Interesting to think about though. Does the political declaration come first, or the occupation of Russia? How will radiation levels affect any humanitarian effort to save Muscovites? Apocalyptic stuff...
The winter weather has done a good job in the past. I certainly hope there’s no need to invade Russia. But if they start nuking folks, they’re going down. Left and Right will support the effort worldwide.
Most of those lives were Russians grinding against Germans. Russia is already now a pariah. Using nukes will ignite the rest of the world to destroy them: by nuke or otherwise. Hopefully not a protracted world war.
Russia will be gone in any case. What to do with them once they’ve lost?
Russia gets split up like Germany after WWII. The UN Security council, minus Russia, will divvy up the country for 100 years. Russia as a country and culture will cease to exist.

-The best memories are of the folks that did various historic things or held great roles, though they themselves were not famous. WWII/Korea/Vietnam/Gulf War vets. Former aerobatic pilots. Governors, Mayors, Archibishops, Olympians, Professors, etc. Each person had a story. Sometimes that story wasn’t appreciated until after they were dead.
