Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Jesse Helms just finished a speech on the Senate floor, blasting the Justice Department and the White House for failing to investigate the campaign finance allegations of the President's nominee for ambassador to New Zealand. Helms went back in Senate history to cite a similar situation where a Senator objected a nomination to the same country. The nominee pleaded that New Zealand was halfway around the world! The Senator replied,"It ain't fer enough!" Helms closed by saying, "You can read into that whatever you want."
