wrong. There are 3 kinds of people: believers (Muslims, Christians, Jews); Unbelievers (i.e., those who do not worship God); and hypocrites (those who pretend to worship God to gain some advantage, but don't really believe (e.g., Saddam Hussayn)
The Quran is QUITE clear that Christians and Jews are NOT Unbelievers. Muslims must, and do, accept them as Believers. They are, from a Muslim perspective, misguided, but they are still Believers. The best Christians will be in Heaven before the worst Muslim.
The biggest sin in this world is to not be a Muslim.
No, the biggest sin in Islam to to assocate other gods with God.
Islam recognizes no such concept. There is no seperation of church and state, for the religion is the church and the state.
Because Muslims don't exclude God from their day to day lives. There is only life. The Creator of the Universe--God--is central to that. If you disagree, that is fine.
Individual Muslims may have a desire to live at peace and enjoy this land of freedom, but the BOOK they put their trust in recognizes no such co-operation.
What sort of nonsense is this? The Quran is quite clear that Muslims are to live peaceably with their neighbours.
Christianity does claim to also be the only true path to God, but Jesus did not say," Believe in me, or my followers have the right to destroy you".
And Islam doesn't say anything like that either.
There have many, throughout history, who had killed and maimed in the name of Christianity, but only based upon their twisted interpretations of the Bible. In the Koran, you need not twist the verses, they plainly call for the destruction of all infidels and unbelievers.
Only when the Unbelievers (="infidels" [a word invited by the Christan Crusaders to describe Muslims btw]) attack Muslims. In that case Muslims are allowed to defend themselves until the Unbelievers stop their attack. When this happens Muslims must stop and make peace. This is both in the Quran and in Islamic law.
A moderate American Muslim is simply one who lives between a rock and a hard place. They may not choose to follow those mainline views of the Koran, but they certainly know what their faith demands.
Yes we do know what our faith demands. Apparently you do not since you have posted such falsehoods here.
They know they cannot openly adhere to those commands, but I doubt seriously they privately reject them. They live like we do simply because they are less than 2% of the population have no choice. They enjoy our freedom, while their Koran calls for our destruction. That is an interesting delima.
The Quran does not call for your destruction. You are just engaging in anti-Islamic fearmongering. Believe it or not there is a reason why Islam is the fasting growing relgion in the USA. Destruction of the USA is not it.
Americans just don't get it, but the fact is that Islam has no intention of living at peace with us.
Ah! I am glad one as ignorant of Islam as you has managed to speak for one billion people whom you completely misunderstand.
It is not possible to be a true Muslim and peacefully exist with unbelievers. It is our might and power that provides us the reality of America, for if Islam possessed that power, we would not exist. They live at peace with us because they can't beat us, and that festers under their skin like a boil. They hates us because they can't whip us and impose their religion on all of us. They hate us because we are infidels and unbelievers, and accorsing to their fiath, we need to convert or die. It really is that simple..........................
I see you must have missed the "let there be no compulsion in matters of relgion" part of the Quran. It is FORBIDDEN to impose Islam on non-Muslims
Now if you honestly believe all that you have written, I would have to say you are seriously mislead. Why don't you find a book about the religion, even one written by a non-Muslim scholar, and find out what Islam is really about. There are lots of them on Amazon.com or B&N. After that go and re-read the Quran (assuming you actually have one) with some context.
Usamah bin Ladin doesn't represent normative Islam anymore than David Koresh represents Christians. *Radical* Islam does have a meaning.
